My worries about Elias struggling with location were unfounded, obviously.

If anything, it got better from the 4th onward.

If he can get that curve cooking like he had it for a lot of last year, he could be a big help again. We'll see.....

Yea he just seems to have that competitive fire in him. Maybe that hurts him in situations like spring training and AAA. I went into spring training preferring him over Walker. Seems to still be the case

and he flat out called out a few others. Coach speak is coach speak. Hell, you won't hear Pete call out any of his players whether they deserve it or not. Doesn't mean McClendon isn't calling them out in the team locker room or his office.

That's an apples to oranges argument though Wiz, I can't recall Pete ever being a complete douche bag to the media. And if I remember Pete has held himself accountable when the Hawks have struggled or the Super Bowl fiasco. Lloyd just calls a media member an idiot for doing his job, second guessing his moves that blow up.

It's also an apples to oranges to suggest Pete owns his teams issues when they play 16 of them (and post season) a year vs 162.

People were on Lloyd's ass last year at this time too and were praising him later in the season.

I couldn't care less if he's a complete jackass to the media. Fuck the media. I only care if he is putting his team in the best position, both short term and more importantly long term, to compete. To this point of this season he hasn't done anything to help the bad start, but I'm not sure I blame most of it on him. Jack Z put the team in the bind they are with an offense that doesn't have options to bring guys up and there is only so much you can blame a manager when several guys are way under performing in the rotation.

He isn't getting kudos from me, but I'm not ready to string him up yet either.
