I had to follow the game on my phone while out at dinner with a client, what a game! The pitching is as legit awful as our offense is legit a threat, but theres no doubting their resilience. This team seems fed up with losing and I like it, we need some grit. Come on Eddie!

Im 100% convinced the offense is legit and loaded. Pitching remains crap.... unfortunately becAuse of this, i suspect JP will unload some guys to get pitching by the deadline. Just wait until Haniger returns, the offense will get even better but not enough places to play everyone.

It's grit Tapey, the team has shown a lot of it over the last few weeks. JeDi has struck gold on a few of these guys cause I know for a fact this organization has zero luck so it can't be that. An outfield of Heredia-Haniger-Gamel may very well be the best in baseball when healthy, and to think that it really only came together this year; even though Gamel & Heredia were here last year. They are getting fun to watch, but yet another injury in Cano. Enough already!

Hopefully Valencia can stay hot so we can unload him for pitching.

If valencia stays hot then there is no need for Vogelbach even in short term. Maybe JD can find a suitor for a guy like Vogelbach for some pitching in return. Unfortunately the only true value for Vogelbach is his age.

Wasn't able to watch any of this one, but pretty cool to see the M's come back from 4 run deficits twice. Good stuff.

The outfield competition is as hot right now as it was in Spring Training. The only (healthy) one who isn't really hitting is the only one stealing bases (Dyson), even though they all have the speed and the ability to steal some bags and they either haven't been asked to or haven't chosen to. The offense is gonna have to carry the team at least until Paxton and Felix get back (and maybe Smyly by sometime in June?). I don't think they can afford to play the veteran who is only bringing base stealing to the table right now over the young guys who are bringing AVG, OBP, clutch hitting and solid-to-great defense, as well as the ability to steal bases, to the table. I don't think Dyson should be DFA'd because he does bring value as a pinch runner for the few slow guys we do have, but when Haniger comes back I don't see Dyson doing much else for a while. At this point, the biggest black hole we have on offense is at catcher, no matter who we put back there. Better one black hole than the 6 or 7 we had to start the season.

With the way our players have been dropping left and right, I think the OF will work itself out when Haniger gets back.

I can live without a catcher hitting as long as he/they do the little things.

I agree, Dyson becomes the 4th outfielder and used for pinch hitting/running duties. Who plays center? Haniger or Gamel?

We haven't been able to say this often, but the offense is carrying the entire team on its back right now. The good news in that is that we're missing probably our 3 best pitchers and a RoY candidate during it all. Hopefully when Felix and Paxton get back a little of the load will be taken off their plate, then Smyly should be a nice boost at the end of June.

The bullpen definitely needs big changes though. Keep Rzsybp4cjkinsdki, Zych, Diaz, and Altavilla. The rest can go for someone who doesn't piss their pants every time we have a 1 run lead and 2 outs.
