4th inning is telling. Felix throws them down the middle and they hit them everywhere on the line and score 3. We come up and miss every freaking pitch down the middle for nothing. And Cano and is crap, lazy defense makes me puke. 'The ball came up on him'...it was 15 feet in the grass, give me a break.

We need Felix to retire. He is nothing but a $20M p/y joke. Kings Court was cute when he could pitch, now it is just sad. Bases loaded double given up as I type this. R.E.T.I.R.E.

Segura can't be bothered to sprint to 1B to beat out the double play he hit into. Out by half a step while going about 75%. THIS TEAM IS SO FUCKING LAZY. Mentally and physically.

I've never been a fan of the king's court. I thought Felix was better earlier in his career when he pitched to contact to get batters out and when they came out with the king's court he kinda changed into a strikeout pitcher and wastes tons of pitches doing it.

Certainly showing his age now, from the sound of it. Sorry, Felix, but you are done, as is your team, as is your season.

Gotta finish this series tomorrow:

I said the other day they need another starter and a reliever to contend. However if Cano and Seagar don't improve then it's somewhat irrelevant either way.

Felix was coming off of two consecutive quality starts. That may not mean much but this team has had precious few quality stats this year. They are getting one about 37% of the time. So, I'm not ready to retire Felix yet. But we all need to lower our expectations of what we think he can accomplish for however long the remainder of his career is.

And the comment about hating the King's Court? Yeah, I'm with you. It was cute for about five minutes, but at this stage in his career, it is a distraction he can not afford.

Mariners are 3-5 when Felix starts and 5-4 when Bergman starts.

My unfortunate prediction of us getting swept is looking pretty likely now. But wouldn't it just like the Mariners to go out and inexplicably beat up the league's current ERA leader (Vargas)?

Done as a #!? Yes. Entirely.

Done as a ML starter? Hardly.

Paxton didn't have a smooth reentry from the DL, but everyone knew he would find his groove at some point.

Felix is well past his prime and I would never expect him to make it through a full season without injury from here on out, but he's more than serviceable and should dial things back in a bit more after he's had a few starts post all-star break. He's capable of giving you 6+ of 3 run ball and that's all it takes to be a fairly secure middle/lower end of rotation guy.

I'm more frustrated with the defensive blunders and streaking scoring, but pick your poison.

M's pitching meets M's scoring.

But a team with a self imposed payroll outside the top 10 cannot afford a $20M p/y 'ML starter". That is my point. Ya he is a fine #4 or #5 SP, but not as his pay. And yes I know there isn't a darn thing they can do about it and that is why I feel if he really likes the organization he would take a major pay-cut or retire.

Yeah yeah, we got two runs in the bottom of the first. A bit late, though; Carmen Miranda has pretty much decided which way he wants to go tonight.

GAME OVER

So in 1.1 innings the Mariners have already scored more runs against one of the best pitchers in the AL this year than they did in 2 games against two scrub pitchers. I give up trying to figure this team out.

Wow.

Great base running.

Robbie can't beat out a grounder then Nelson Cruz starts jogging when he thinks he hit a homer. Not the type of baseball you wanna teach your kids.
