to trade for story would prob take
Nick Margevicius 52
Isaiah Campbell62
and at least 2 bull pen guys

Yohan Ramirez
55 MINORS
that would be in a normal year..but..you may only get him for..a few months...so it would prob be less

just speculation..anyway

Is this team really the Seattle Mariners?? WTF- they are killing it tonight against the Bosox. I guess I might have to rethink this Mariner's team. Been years since they have played like this so early in the season. Mitch is just plain awesome!
Its been fun to see how they've played the first few weeks and most of it against pretty good teams too. Do I expect regression? Yes probably but at the same time if it happens it wont feel as doom and gloom as 2018 was. The contributions they are getting now are all meaningful going forward it feels like. Maybe they dont end up even .500 this year but I think overall in terms of progression they are in a decent spot.

The one thing I don't understand is why Scott has been burning through the pen??....this is a 4 game series
8 man bullpen, im ok using those guys loosely as oppose to leaving a starter in too long

I would pass on Story. He won't resign so it would be a waste of young players.
Agreed. I dont think they would make an all in move like that this year at all and they shouldnt. If they do end up being buyers, I think the strengthening the bullpen even more would be something I look too since that should be cheap. Depending on how guys in the lineup progress you can judge if you need an offensive piece or two. Should see Kelenic soonish and probably Raleigh sometime in the summer

Now that is a big league slider.

Big win on the road last nite.

Clubhouse culture and a group of young talented kids who believe in themselves can do amazing things given the chance.

The Mariners have been the entire leagues whippin' boy for so long it's not funny. Time for some payback

We're going to need more help from the rest of the team "consistently"... Can't expect Mitch and Ty to carry us each and every night... Need more production all the way around... At this pace, if Mitch and Ty don't hit, we're sunk... Hopefully Lewis can get this going tonight...

This is why I wanted two legit veteran hitters signed. Rookies are boom or bust and right now more bust than boom which was to be expected. And the hitters we have down in the farm aren't really ready to come in and be veteran like contributors with the exception of Kelenic and he is more of an unknown at this point. I really wanted Brantley but we can't have nice things.

I think they will think of Munoz and Gerber as midseason additions. Then we also have Giles for next year which might make next years pen the best in franchise history if all goes well.

Ya,,,that makes sense. I guess I'm still used to starters going a little deeper, but I guess those days are gone now. CG's are rare these days.

Hey MBF, good to see you back and posting again. Things look better than the previous 18+ years, but I still have issues with Servais but the season is just getting going. :thumb:

I remember when pitchers thought they sucked when they couldn't go at least 7 every game. They also got 30-40 starts.

What would they do if they had to pitch a ball that weighed 12-16 oz,, throw it against thirty hitters and then do it again in the second game of a doubleheader. Cy young once pitched 11 games in 9 days and won 10 of them. I guess that's why it's not called the Sidney Ponson Award.
