... and who would you recommend replacing him with during that time? Our SP is slim pickens down in the minors...
Is it really that limited? The farm system branches out; there should be a way to cycle pitchers from one league to another to make way for the next Rainier that feels like he's ready for the bigs...right??

Thank God I went out and enjoyed the weather over watching this BS.

About what I expected though. Figured with the way they are going with their pitching that this would be a rather easy sweep for the Rangers. I'd be shocked if they salvage the game tomorrow. Shocked and stunned.

Where are all the unicorn and rainbow fans at now? Easy to thump your chest and point your finger when things are going right, but where is their sunshine and glitter after these?

The good news, yes it is me looking at the silver lining, is that if we win tomorrow we only lost 1 game to them and that is more than workable.

The negative nelly in me will say 'I told you (M's management) so' when every off season I preach for more stating pitching because like I have said a million times before when you rely on these rooks and they don't work out where you getting replacement for them in-season? You don't obviously.

Oh well, I think I may have a few more years left in me since the first 39? 40? M's years haven't quite worked out like I have hoped. :2cents:

This would've been a good game to give Diaz an inning or so, no?

Not that I thought the rotation would be lights out this year, but damn I never for a second thought they would have a stretch where they would be this bad. Painful.

Figures, but yet you claim you were there for the 12-2 comeback! Did you post negative shit that night too. Or just realistic shit? Or both? Weird.

Thank you for believing. When we actually win, the others guys can come crawling back and say things like "I was just being realistic", when in fact they were quitters. Quitters go and 'enjoy the weather rather than watching this BS'.

Enjoy the weather on Sunday and don't even bother watching, unless they win. LOL.

Agreed, but I won't give up and call the season OVER, nope.

See. This is funny shit from the non-believers, or better yet, just the believers when things are going WELL.

Reading really that tough on you sport? :L

I was happy I was able to see that comeback and today I'm happy I was enjoying the weather and my family and not subject to that shit show. What part of those two things are you hung up on? Nothing inconsistent in any way. And yes, I did expect after watching them shit the bed against the two worst teams in baseball over a 7 game stretch that they were likely looking at a sweep in Texas. Of course I hoped to be wrong. Most probably didn't expect us to sweep them.

Nice try, but won't work. I'm a realist. Of course a sweep in this series doesn't spell the end of anything in 162 game season. This might just be a bad spell of the sort that most teams go through. That doesn't mean we can't be frustrated with it. I'm sure they will find a way out of this funk and have another winning streak at some point. It's far too early in the season with way too much time left for this series to have any type of final meaning.

That's being a realist. It's those who choose to tell every fan that voices their frustration that they must have abandoned the team that have their heads fully inserted in their backsides. It really is ok to both enjoy the highs AND lament the lows. In fact, the highs are that much sweeter when you've fully suffered those lows.

Not only is Texas distancing them from us but Houston has gained 3 games on us in the last 4 days... We need this one today... We're 3-6 over our last 9 games... This month is going to be interesting w/ this schedule in June...

I'm nowhere close to giving up on what our chances are for the rest of the year. Even if we leave Texas down 3 games, I think we'll pick things back up once our real SS & CF return to duty. The starting pitching will not stay in this rut for much longer.
