Bloomquist's last 3 full years. Despite hitting a hundred points higher than Moore, he was used primarily as a bench guy because he was a bench guy.

My point for years is that just because a guy is a good bench guy, and Moore is, doesn't mean you need to start him.

But Bloomquist is in the record books for having the most consecutive without an extra base hit. But I would much prefer a Bloomquist over Moore. Willie was a plus defender at the 6 he played.

Even had fat boy gloved it cleanly ... his back was to the play and extremely unlikely he spins around and delivers an accurate throw to home.

Not only did HE NOT make the play, he completely hindered his 2nd baseman from making the play who was perfectly in position to field it and make a simple 80 foot throw to home for the force out and still have a chance to roll a pair and get out of the inning and have a chance to win the game.

Fundamentals, just sloppy play. Frances base running blunder trying to advance to 3rd base on a ground ball HIT IN FRONT of him sharply to the shortstop ?? C'mon man ... I taught my little leaguers that when they were 12yo old and they caught on quickly NOT to do it.

They need to polish their act up or they are gonna squash any and all post season hopes. TOR BAL and the RAYS are hungry and playing like it.

Saturday was just 1 game, but we saw just last season how important 1 game can be.

And I agree with the other poster, I do not care if a guy walks to the plate with a .300avg, you BUNT the runner from 2nd to 3rd with no outs in extra innings. If you make a $1mil and up a year and cannot lay down a SACRIFICE bunt when called upon, I have a real problem with your skillset as a MLB player

lewis needed more time.....with the injurys hes had..and the time it has takin....he just needs more time....

that said...scott borus has said conforto...could..be ready..in..september....the exact piece...that would fit...right there..at DH..Or RF..
and haniger would dh..some as well....that is how nice..conforto would fit...and an upgrade from santana...
