Off line, but got it there fastAnd of course he has his best throw ever to home...
Arm isn’t the issue with him or any IF in the OF. It is tracking the ball off the bat. Barry Bonds had a noodle arm but was considered a great OF. Shit look at Franklin Gutierrez, nothing great at all about him defensively except he was great at recognizing the ball off the bat.And of course he has his best throw ever to home...
Disagree. Those are two separate issues and either can kill a team. Haggerty's arm has been light and offline all year. His tracking is ok for a covered infielder, but would love a true outfielder with the whole defensive game.Arm isn’t the issue with him or any IF in the OF. It is tracking the ball off the bat. Make that 11 batters now all with hits. All 10 batters tonight have at least 1 hit.
I don’t disagree at all, I was just saying I don’t think the arm is that big of a deal. Definitely not saying Haggerty is a good OF, I was just saying arm isn’t a big deal if he/or anyone, can be great with angles and reading the ball. Getting a good jump on the ball is the primary reason IF’s blow when playing the OF. Adam Jones being a terrible CF when he transitioned from being a SS is what made him “expandable” but he had only done it for a year and a half.Disagree. If you watch Moore in the outfield he throws a lot of balls like an infielder using short stroke when a true outfielder throws with full motion and body. I could throw rockets from the outfield back in my high school days, but had a weak infield and pitching arm. Two totally different motions.
