You have to take it into account that the AL West has been god awful. 1st place is amazing but it seems if they don’t win the division they won’t be making the playoffs.

Yep, and because of the unique location in the PNW the Mariners can get away with this crappy product all these decades and still make good $ … Alaska, Portland, Idaho, Montana, SO many M’s fans in these areas because it’s the nearest baseball team, so lots of people tune in, so filling the stadium isn’t the BIG money maker, it’s people tuning in where the money is generated… If the M’s were on the East coast they’d never get away with this crappy product and make money, they litterally couldn’t do it…So this ownership does this because they can, and they still turn a great profit …

Yeah, that's what I'm saying.

A true veteran might be able to get through to them where the coaching staff hasn't been able to. We don't need each of them to attempt to win the game in each at bat, we need them to just have solid at bats and make contact. Trust the guys around you to do the same. Put the fucking ball into play and at least make a more productive out than yet another strike out. Move a guy or possibly get lucky and the defense commits an error or you have a bloop. Putting the ball in play produces less wasteful outs.

Cal as a team leader isn't moving them out of this. Julio can't manage himself, more or less be a field leader. This is what they are badly missing.

The joke's on them. We ditched our cable here years ago; got expensive af! These days, we got Prime and a digital antenna that doesn't pick up every channel it should.

Just as well. I got pretty flustered as it is reading about what went on Tuesday about our lack of...well, anything...
