Since the last game in Toronto on April 10th, the Mariners have gone 11-4 and outscored opponents by a ridiculous 54 runs (74-20). The rotation has recorded quality starts in 13 of the 15 games including three ultra-quality starts while compiling a 1.56 ERA, 0.81 WHIP, and 97 strikeouts through 92 innings. The bullpen has gotten saves from three different pitchers over the same period.

M's are doing well in pitching after a slow first week or two.
Tied for 4th in team ERA, 2nd in quality starts. 21st in saves. It's safe to say the starting rotation, even with Hancock, is carrying this team.

They are mid 20's in most offensive stats.

They have to improve more at the plate to compete deep into the season.

This was kind of the point of everyone freaking out at the beginning of the year. All the moves they made didn’t really improve the offense all that much. This team only goes as far as their pitching but it’s hard to ask the staff to throw a QS and bullpen be damn near perfect.

J.P. Crawford is out doing his daily pregame progressions with Perry Hill, just four days after suffering his Grade 1 oblique strain. He’s also doing some light jogging in the outfield, but no throwing yet.He said in passing that he’s feeling much better.

mitch garver is useless. $24 million guaranteed for 2 years to DH...after never playing close a full season in his life. NO other team would've given that contract to him. This is where dogshit like him comes to rot and we gild it in gold.

Haniger's defense and movement have been a liability; if Garver continues to be a liability, make him a backup catcher and put Haninger at DH. Just eat the ridiculous contract
