Bliss waited for the ball instead of charging toward it on that weak comeback and the runner was safe. Take 2 steps toward the mound before fielding it and he's out.

Didn't end up costing a run, but still.

I was yelling the same exact thing. Funny he said today the best part about coming up was to work with Perry Hill again. He needs it. That was lazy.

It wasn’t pretty, but a win is a win

The one glaring bright spot that I noticed was the fact we struck out far less than our average.

Usually, we’re around an even dozen. I think we only had five or six strikeouts yesterday. And nobody struck out more than once.

It was a great first inning hanging a three spot on them, but you can’t play eight innings of baseball and not manufacture another run or two

Now the mission is to win two of the next three for a series win. just to piss on their legs to establish dominance

I would say that overall umpire accuracy will go up across the league but after seeing the strike zone yesterday I doubt this is going to change much.
Speaking of that they announced recently they probably won't have robot umpires next year because they have screwed it all up. They would rather protect the catchers right to make the umpire look like a fool and trick him other than a silly thing like accuracy. They refuse to use the system we have seen in place in tv for years and have decided to reinvent the wheel and screwed it all up.

I think it is the same. Same exact complaints at this last year are the same today. Great starting pitching, questionable bullpen and terrible offense. But with them having a lead in the division hopefully they try to actually improve the team this year.

While reading twitter and all the talk about Bliss replacing him, I actually thought he was either DFA'd or injured for the rest of the year. I adit I was a bit happy.

Need Bliss to start hot to sink any thoughts of putting Polanco back in the lineup

His defense was awful last night, even on the pop-ups he did catch. Caused an error and missed the chance for a put out at first being too lazy to charge the ball.

It was not a stellar debut.
