The Mariners will hope to put an end to Jarrod Parker's historic streak on Monday in Oakland. In his past 14 starts, the 22-year-old righty is 6-0 with a 2.75 ERA and has held opponents to a .199 batting average. The winning streak is a career high and the 14-start unbeaten streak matches the second-longest by an A's pitcher over the last 39 years.
That dominance has come in spite of little help from his teammates. He's received two runs of support or fewer in 11 of the 16 games in which he took the loss or had a no-decision.
He allowed one run over 8 1/3 innings for Oakland in his last start, a 2-1 extra-innings loss to the Astros on Wednesday.
