lol... nice touch.

I don't consider Alfredsson as having a great slapshot. well, placed, but not nec. powerful. could be wrong.
Alex Edler has kept pace with Salo in the past two skills comps, fwiw.

Heck, he couldn't even put Nieds out of the lineup with a point blank slapper...

Shawn Heins made it to the pro's (albeit short lived) just because of his slap shot. The guy could ratchet it up to 106mph in the AHL All-Star Game.

if hitting the net wasn't a criteria, I'd throw Lobby Bohonos into the mix, too.

Komisarek made the list, and he has no control over where the puck is going.

Lots of loose cannons on the list, but if all they are measuring is power of shot it's understandable. If I had to pick one of those guys to unload from the blue line though, it would be Weber.

Weber shot the puck clear through the net in these here past Olympic games - I'd go with him.

A lot of names on that list surprise me. I dont think i've ever even seen Hossa shoot a slapper.

I was going to say the same about Christian "high and wide" Ehrhoff.

no complaints about that last year.
maybe he has reined it in a bit.

181 shot (on goal) last year put him #6 on the team, and the top defenseman.

/thanks again, btw :D

Shea Weber just got traded to the Sharks for Torrey Mitchell, Douglass Murray and a 1st Round pick.

I think the trade may have motivated him. While in San Jose it was just assumed that to play a rebound off of the back glass when he shot.

Great skater though. Damn it now I'm pissed again.

Just remember to return the favor, cough**Edler***cough ;)
