Penn State has to be #1, they'll look past a horrible crime and still blindly cheer their team on. If you can cheer for a program even though they assisted in the r*pe of children, you know you're loyal.

Well I don't claim that we are the classiest.

We just are loyal as hell.

Most of us are pretty damn classy. If you come to our town and beat us by 50 points I'll still buy you 5 beers downtown. But there are some real shitty Nebraska fans. Most of them are about 20 years old.

Times have never been better for SC, and instead of enjoying it, our fans are going, "nowhere to go but down now..." And yet we will still pack W-B even after Spurrier is dead.

Very much so. I personally don't think you guys are going anywhere either. I feel like Spurrier has set up a very nice program. Make the right move for your next coach as at worst a top half SEC program, atm, and you should be just fine.

This list should have schools like SoCarolina and Ole Miss on them. Most of these schools on the list it is real easy to be a loyal fan. You dont test loyalty without a decade in the toilet.

I will say fans of programs that have no

great traditions
Heisman winners
NCs
top recruiting classes
winning seasons

Are the most loyal fanbases. It is easy to root for teams with 10+ wins every season. It's easy to root for teams with great traditions. It's easy to root for teams that are the only major conference team in the state. etc.

I would put fanbases of Iowa State, Vanderbilt, Northwestern, Cal, Wake Forest, etc above any of those teams on that list.

Vanderbilt? I'm guessing you've never been to a game at Vanderbilt. My high school team had a more loyal fan base.
