More recent and a crazy finish at Husky Stadium. The Mason Foster crazy interception return

And no, no matter how many times zona fans want to claim it hit the turf, it did not. :heh:

More recent? Sure.

Without this insane return UW doesn't make it to the playoffs last year. Dante Pettis and one of his career record 8 punt returns for TD

Bonus: Audio is UW's retiring play by play man Bob Rondeau. Called games for UW since the start of Don James era. We will miss that dude.

Great Rose Bowl Moments: 1992 Washington vs. Michigan
Sorry for the lack of youtube, but this is the best summation of the '92 Rose Bowl win over Michigan that also has Mario Bailey and the Heisman Pose. It's not even two minutes. Seriously.

Desmond Howard won the Heisman, but it should have been Bailey and most outside of Michigan know that. Howard was ass in that Rose Bowl, Emtman dominated, and Bailey showed who the best receiver on the field that day really was.

The game that sealed the legacy of the '91 Huskies and their national championship.

Not many people remember from before that on this board.
Oldtimer does. He can tell you about some similar type games they had during the Revolutionary War. He put the old in oldtimer.

You damn right.

Hell, when I was at FSU, the real Osceola stuck the damn spear.

Hundreds of all-time plays. Puntrooskie. How many fake a punt with 2:30 to play in a tie game
from your own 21 yard line. Or a 3rd-12, from your own 20 yard line in the 3rd quarter of a
game where you are up by only 8 points, and run a "statute of liberty" play for 21 yards and
a first down. With Bobby calling the plays...every game had a surprise play.

Most Historic play for Florida State. Sept 13, 1958.

QB Vince Prinzi carries the ball for a 2-pt conversion in a game vs Tennessee Tech.
"The First EVER 2-point conversion in CFB History."

That can never be topped.

I went through microfilm of the old NY Times. Couldn't find the results of the 1st game ever played, Rutgers v Princeton in 1869. They mentioned a few games in the 1870's.

3 immediately come to mind for UGA.

1. My God, a Freshman

2. Run Lindsay, Run

3. The Hobnail Boot

Ha.....one of the most head scratching losses I've ever seen was when #13 SU handed a game to NC State in the Dome.

SU had the game won as the 4th was winding down. McNabb was the QB then and NC State had no answer for him and Quinton Spotwood. After getting to a first and goal with under 2:00 on the clock and a 7 point lead, all SU needed was a FG to seal the game.

SU runs two McNabb QB keepers. Now 3rd and 3 and all SU needs to do is at most get the ball to the middle of the hash marks and kick the FG.....instead they hand off to Dee Brown who was just a tailback....fast but not a between the tackles kind of kid......NC state crushed D brown, the ball pops out and NC State runs it back across mid field. Two plays later they are in the end zone and SU loses in OT, handing SU their only loss that season.

:facepalm3:

Why hand that ball off? You have McNabb and you give the ball to a tailback. Sad.

edit....here's a link. This finish even made news on the left coast.
