But wow…. He actually never even hit 35.

He was a pure accumulator. I wasn’t happy when he got inducted into the Hall, and while my stance on that has softened since, I still think the bar for inclusion was lowered when he got inducted.

Not as bad as Baines, though. That one is ridiculous.

Manny probably belongs, but if he gets in before Bonds, that would be a travesty. If that happens, the writers should just drop the pretense entirely and just say “He ain’t getting in because he was a Meannie-butt to us, and our fragile egos couldnt take it.”
