Nope, none of those guys. That's not where I was going with the hint, but definitely not Cobb. The hint might be a kind of local thing. But I remember at some point when cable tv was becoming popular you could get games from other markets so it is possible you could have seen it even if you lived in another market.

Leading the league in HRs for 7 consecutive seasons is not going to happen by a middling player. Aaron, Bonds, Thome, Mays, Griffey, Rodriguez all never did it…

I know you don’t tend to lean on Phillies players, but I ruled out Schmidt, Howard and Foxx…

There you go.

”Kiner” = “Corner”

there is a kernel of truth in that corny joke.
Yeah Kiner's Korner was the name for the Met's postgame show. I forget if the Mets games ever made it to the cable packages like WGN and TBS

Good one. Not a generally considered “inner-circle” HOFer, but that feat is worthy of remembering.

Who is the only guy to have hit 600 home runs and never won an MVP award?

Kind of a short career. But it is a lesson to all those future mlbers out there. If you can bang out 7 straight home run crowns out of the gate, the voters might cut you some slack on fizzling out and retiring early.
