Again, wrong. He has more late game successful drives to take a lead than late game chokes. Many more. If you watched the games, you would know this. However, the vast majority of those games ended up with losses due to a poor defense. Check it out, if you are interested in more than stats.

You have a link or any info? Or any direction to look to see that. I’m intrigued

Make this thread on the Steelers forum. Let’s see the response.

You’re also the same fool on the fantasy football forum who legit was yelling at ppl because u kept bell on your roster. Pardon me fir not buying your extremely large generalization .

Make the thread let’s see.

Still have not told me anything why are you trying to bring other people into this? what does fantasy football have to do with this?

Again stats aren’t everything . Game on the line Kirk chokes.
he took our team to the playoffs needing to win the last 4 games . the team won

Detroit , saints bengals are 3 examples of him having the defense fail him in the final moments or the kicking game

that happened twice this year i believe (know packers game for sure )

Not entirely true. If ur strictly going to use total yards yes. But pgh was below mint in total rushing yards. We could run. So could minny at 4.2 ypc. Both teams chose to pass pass pass

4.2 is 25th in the league...or did you know?

A few games to highlight...

Week 2- 18 carries for 68 yards as a team

Week 3- 6 carries for 14 yards

Week 4- 17 carries for 54 yards

Week 11- 14 carries for 22 yards

Now the complete outliers that made the YPA good enough for 25th...

Arizona was 32 for 195.
Miami was 40 for 220.

I could care less about our former QB, like some here can't let go of.

Alex Smith's Career 4th quarter comebacks and game-winning drives | Pro-Football-Reference.com

Our QB, Alex Smith has had 19 4th quarter comebacks and 23 game winning drives. And, he just completed his 8th winning season in a row as a starting QB in the NFL.

dont worry , you just have 2 more years of me bashing the trade , unless some people care to admit they didnt hold CDC to the same standards that KC was

now i could point out that CDC has been starting for 2005 and hence he would have more

or i could simply point out that in 11 games this season he couldnt even produce a lead change , let alone a come back

now for somebody who claims he doesnt care about our ex qb you certainly respond a lot to anyone who doesnt follow the CDC is the savior mentality and god forbid criticize the trade

and of course most people understand that teams win games not qbs

tied for 21st........
yes some disappointing games,
but in week 3? why only rush 6 times? threw the ball 55 times and didnt crack 300 yards?

im not trying to argue with you, trying to have a discussion, but its not going that way. so i will allow you guys yearn for kirk. I do notice some go ahead drives that were pointed out

If you are tied for 21st and the teams go through 25th, aren’t you also tied for 25th?

Week three was insane. It made zero sense...if you could have negative sense, I would go there. KC played like shit that game too. That is my point though. He have had no help from the run game. Throughout the season; whereas, the run game and defense got us every win with no help from AS.

In 2017, Minnesota was 7th in rushing yards per game, while only averaging 3.9/carry. People claim that KC went to Minnesota and try to compare him to Keenum. Well, it is a completely different offsensive scheme.

Then, You claim he folds in big games. How did he do against Rodgers and Brees? Those were huge games. Now if we are talking pressure packed games, he peeled off four in a row to get into the playoffs in 2015.

A bit surprised tbh

I'm not enamored with Cuz like some of my brethren are. IMO he came up small too many times in big moments. He left too many points on the field, his turnovers can be epic and I disargee with the notion that he had no help as a Redskins QB. I see that j said he isn't top 5, but there are other posters here that believe he is. There are some posters that believe he's better than Andrew Luck. I wonder how many still belive that.

Kirk has his warts, but he continues to improve in areas as well. Some in small ways like being able to throw a damn good fade route now. He couldn't throw that route worth a damn a couple years ago. And in big ways as well. Inside pressure and simple blitzes used to fuck him up. To be fair, inside pressure can fuck up any QB, but he's gotten a lot better at beating the blitz.

I suspect he'll look a lot better next year, but concerning this year. The Minnesota Vikings he QBed weren't the same Minnesota Vikings Case Keenum QBed in 2017.

In 2017 the Vikes ran for 1915 yards, 3.9 ypc, 15 rushing TDs
In 2018 the Vikes ran for 1493 yards, 4.1 ypc, 9 rushing TDs

In 2017 the Vikes defense only allowed 1337 rushing yards, 3.6 ypc, 10 rushing TDs. They also led the NFL in scoring defense only allowing 15.8 pt per game

In 2018 the Vikes defense allowed 1815 rushing yards, 4.1 ypc, 13 rushing TDs. They also gave up damn near a TD more a game in 2018 allowing 21.3 pt per game.

Some of that increase in points was probably due in part to Cuz turnovers though. His 10 INTs and 7 lost fumbles led the NFL I believe and at least 3 of those, 2 INTs and a fum, were returned for TDs.

All that said. Yeah, I'll take Kirk at 87 mill for 3 years over Alex at 71 million for 3 years. I'll bank on Kirk continuing to improve in areas and playing to win. As opposed to Alex trying to manage a team to a win.
