PSU.

Temple? Really?
That was my vote. You can't lose to Temple. Franklin hasn't done shit yet in a big game. He may be another Hoke... Recruits well and sucks ass as a coach.

Yeah, but I thought he had PSU heading back in the right direction. I was shocked at this game.

ND returned 19 starters and are being picked by some for cfp.
Texas was starting two fish on oline, installing new offense, and announced we're going to run two qbacks.

We all new Texas was going to lose by 27+. So Texas cannot be the answer.

Stanford was looking to be division champs and Michigan claimed they had their messiah.

Those are way better answers

Texas can most certainly be the answer. Because it is Texas. And it is ridiculous a program like Texas doesn't have the weapons to even compete or look to be on the same field as another D1 program.

Penn State looking horrible at home against the fucking Temple Owls has to be the correct answer given those choices.

WSU losing to a mid-tier FCS school at home was probably worse, but not listed.

Stanford had far higher expectations than PSU did coming in to the season, which is why i took the Cardinal.

I don't see how we could even be in consideration for this. We played a good Pac-12 team on the west coast, at night and only lost by at TD.

-Penn State played at home, to an AAC opponent, by more than 2 TDs.
-Texas got blown out by more than 30 points and failed to score an offensive TD
-ASU gave up 21 points in the 4th quarter and lost by more than two TDs again

it may have done with the ridiculous hype Michigan/Harbaugh received this off-season.

Hype, yes, but no one was ranking them in the top 25 just yet. The hype is for future production and not necessarily anything to do with this year's team.

What was the PSU/Temple line going into that game? Stanford was a 12.5 point favorite and it was a disappointing upset for them no doubt, but Temple? I mean really? The Owls. No one loses to such a menacing mascot as an owl do they? :noidea:

And they lost by 17 to those deadly night fliers AT HOME giving up 27 unanswered points in the final 3 quarters. :L

That's not just bad, that's fucking embarrassingly pathetic and disgustingly bad.

From your list, Penn State. The last time temple won was in 1941. Gave up ten sacks to Temple. Went ahead 10-0, but gives up 27 unanswered points.
Stanford is a close 2nd.

Texas, Arizona State, and Michigan were not favored to win.

But if you want to throw in futility awards I would rate it

1. Penn State
2. Washington State, 31 point favorites
3. Kansas, oh the futility fumble when trying to spike the ball to stop the clock
4. Stanford, they were favored but it was an away game against a really not bad Northwestern. Northwestern has these games every year, a good Jekyl and Hyde team. They will probably go to Duke and get blown out.

Arizona St. did get smacked but they were technically the underdog and were playing a true road "neutral" game.

Penn St. losing to Temple is the biggest :L for me.
