Gotta go with Texas it just sucked all the hope out of them.
Penn State is a close second.
Stanford is 3rd, it's going to be a long year.

But what about Washington State they lost to Portland State and that is demoralizing.

I took Stanford.

They were ranked and had what was supposed to be a cupcake game on the sched. People were talking them up to be real contenders in the PAC and even CFP dark horses (I fell for the hype :L).

I guess I just feel like Stanford has been the cusp of mediocrity ever since Luck graduated. To be successful you either have star players or you have a great system in place and Stanford doesn't seem to have either.

What about Nebraska?
Nebraska was a heartbreaking loss but I don't feel like they were all hyped up expecting to win or to see drastic improvement like the other teams on the list were...

TBH, I only listed Michigan to fuck with M&B...

I just dont' feel that WSU fans were very hopeful to see much change, but I may be wrong here...

IMO both Stanford and ASU came in as a ranked team against an unranked team and were favored to win (I think, although A&M wasn't a dog by much iirc)...

Michigan, PSU, and Texas were all hoping to see major problems from last season somewhat corrected this season.. But Michigan still turns the ball over constantly, Texas has no semblance of an offense, and PSU still can't block anyone....

That has to suck... I would be pissed to just have a game go away, not to mention no tune up for Moo State now...

Not really. Texas looked just as embarrassingly inept last year. Michigan was beat by the Utes in Ann Arbor olast year. ASU was playing in hostile territory, and given their penchant for weak 4th quarters last year, their preseason #15 ranking was inflated. Stanford's O-line looking like playdough was a shock as was the way NW scored on their D. BUT, nothing is more what-the-fuck than PSU getting their asses handed to them by Temple, a team who hadn't beaten them since 1941 (before Pearl Harbor).

That's on you. If Desmond Howard thinks they would not only be in the playoffs, but win the whole damn thing, well, that's all you'll need to know.

Their Nebs hadn't lost a home opener in decades. The Hail Mary by BYU's back-up QB and the double-covered receiver's catch with time expiring on that play was the stuff of stories. It was a heck of a game, and Nebraska's loss is just one of those things we cite when proclaiming the greatness of CFB.

PSU's loss to Temple rates :L:L:L

Their OL has to be 1 of (if not) the worst in CFB. Hackenberg is gonna get his ass kicked week in & week out.

Penn State looking horrible at home against the fucking Temple Owls has to be the correct answer given those choices.

WSU losing to a mid-tier FCS school at home was probably worse, but not listed.
