Should be a great match if it happens, but you never know in the playoffs. It's been a great game each time they have met this season, so I'll definitely be going to at least one of those games, yet again if it happens, and if I can even get tickets. Several Portland games have been sold out this season.

We'll see. Overall Spokane has had the better of the play when playing Portland this season, but in general the games have been very close. It would be a very intriguing series. Still a ways away though and Chilliwack and Tri-City are no pushovers. Spokane's gonna have to put some good hockey together just to make it to a series against Portland.

Fun fact since the start of the 2009-10 season (including playoffs) Spokane is 2-11 at home against Portland and 9-1-1 at Portland.

Why didn't somebody try to acquire Pickard? Is Liston healthy for Brandon? Where might he go in the draft?

I don't think the Thunderbirds ever made Pickard available. The guy might be the best goalie in the league, but Seattle has been crummy for awhile now. It's too bad for him really. The outlook for next year isn't that great either, but this is junior hockey and it can be hard to gauge some teams.

Liston played the last few games for Brandon so I'd say he's healthy. As for the draft I haven't seen enough of him to say where he might go. His numbers aren't too great (granted Brandon is a bad defensive team) so I'd imagine he'd go middle to late rounds if he is drafted at all.
