there isnt any throwing elbows

He's not grabbing him anywhere near his arms though. I don't think you can make a guy's arm move that distinctly and deliberately by grabbing on his chest.

I forgot that a pull caused an action that went completely towards someone with the same arm and had absolutely no effect on the other arm. Especially when that person is a professional player and not a ref.

I have no idea how every holding call doesn't result in an elbow or high stick retaliation call. It is truly mind bottling. No one can help themself.

As someone who's grabbed many a jersey over the years at many levels of hockey, I'm still going to disagree.

Also, he's got both hands on him in similar places and in similar positions, pretty much symmetrical. Why doesn't his left arm do the same thing?

Oh I don't disagree that his intent was to get away, not to clobber the ref. But like you said, the way that he tried to do it was still way over the line.
