I understand Sweat. Happy we will get a high 2nd. I just found out we will get one of the 49ers comp picks in the 3rd for CY.
This is the 3rd time I will go over this . This will be the 49ers legit 3rd round draft pick . Why ? Because comp picks have not been awarded by the NFL yet hence the 49ers don’t have one to give up . Now if this trade happened when the comp picks were awarded then they could trade them . You can’t trade what you don’t have

Can’t you structure a trade that include the potential for a comp pick? Why we would do that is beyond me.

San Francisco gained that “special compensatory” draft pick as part of the NFL's program to encourage minority hiring practices. The 49ers received that draft pick when defensive coordinator DeMeco Ryans and director of player personnel Ran Carthon left the organization in the offseason.

Young has played FAR better than Sweat this season... you trippin
Young no longer had burst. Poor effort. Didn't want to be here. Whatever the reason he wasn't going to resign after the trading of his best bud. I believe once the team declined his 5th year option, he was done here and likely why he called his own shots at times. Young has been statistically better than Sweat this season, I agree. Long term, Sweat is the better option because he can rush the passer and defend the run. Something Young cannot do. Based on availability, production and long term health. (next 5 years)

We will be young next season for sure. 4 out of our first five will need to start day Se first five picks have to be OT, DE, IOL, IOL, and LB in no particular order.
Bingo!!!

Hopefully peters executes this.

I'd say you have to wait and see who all the new people are. No sense having players that might not fit in a new HC and coordinators scheme.

LOL, .... you signe Peters duke! I am glad to see you excited by a new future.

For sure...ready to celebrate once we score our GM and the foundation gets poured. I have a good feeling about it.

Very excited!!

We do have to compete with the Raiders now for a GM and HC. I hope Harris strikes on Black Monday and we move swiftly. We should have the pick of the liter...should.

Yes, could be.

Does he have scouting, contract, and draft experience?

Seems like he is more a numbers guy? I could be wrong.

At this point, I am comfortable with anyone the owners sign off on.
