I went fishin with him in a canoe. I was 12. It was highly unbalanced.

Monte Coleman is one of my favorite Redskins off all time! As a kid growing up in Herndon, Va. I had some really memorable experiences with several Redskins players of the early 80's. I was a pretty accomplished junior golfer, and used to play almost every day at Herndon Centennial. A lot of the players like Monte, Mark Murphy, Rich Milot and Mike Connell would play there, and knew I could play, so if they needed a 4th they would invite me to join them. Kicked their butts every time!

Also my first job, was at the local McDonald's in Herndon. The Redskins used to order McD's food all the time, and always request someone to bring it out to Redskins park...and, guess who volunteered.

Man, I love this TEAM...HAIL!

My mother use to tend bar at Rick Walker's Scoreboard in Herndon.

Met Coleman and a lot of other Redskins there.

The ageless wonder. Also one of my all time favorites. Had a knack for being in the right place at the right time. Awesome guy. Great player.
