Mine would have to be DickRod's second year when he lost to Purdue at home. I knew he needed to GTFO! That shit was straight embarrassing after the early 4-0 or 5-0 start.
Nick Holt ... he was Sarkasian's DC at Washington. Fans and boosters had been begging for him to get the axe and the final straw was the Alamo Bowl vs a RG3 Baylor team. The Bears beat the Huskies in that game by a score of 67 - 56. Holt was fired two weeks later.
I think fans were fed up with him but after suffering through Ty Willingham the general feeling was just happy to be going bowling. What about Sark himself? He had three straight 7-6 seasons at a program with a solid history.
I will admit, we gave Dick Rod an extremely short leash, shorter than Strong at UT, but he clearly wanted to fully tear it down and not use any of the assets he was left with, which lead to his quick demise. Atleast Hoke ran some forms of spread because he knew that's the type of players he had in season 1. With that said, Hoke was the worst coach ever at Michigan. That Shane Morris debacle was just a disgrace.I think fans were fed up with him but after suffering through Ty Willingham the general feeling was just happy to be going bowling.
I was amazed that Oregon hired Hoke as their DC, especially since Hoke hadn't been a DC since he coached high school football. He literally destroyed that defense ... especially when he went to the 4 - 3 after Oregon had always ran a 3 - 4 and recruited thus.I will admit, we gave Dick Rod an extremely short leash, shorter than Strong at UT, but he clearly wanted to fully tear it down and not use any of the assets he was left with, which lead to his quick demise. The hiring of Hoke was perplexing to a lot of Michigan fans as well. It pretty much cemented David Brandon as a shitty AD.I was amazed that Oregon hired Hoke as their DC, especially since Hoke hadn't been a DC since he coached high school football. Haha yeah I feel you on that. That loss was probably the same feeling I had when Carr lost to Appy State. And that was with an established HC. The Rose Bowl loss to USC(a team at the time that wasn't as talented as ours for once that year) in 2007, was another one which was embarrassing.Last Saturday about 3PM Central time.
Mine was when Kiffin had something like 15 bubble screens in the first game of the season to one WR (Lee I think)
Next when sark lost to a not so good Husky team at home. Fans in the stands were openly asking if he was drunk.

I don't know he looks sober
2006 USC won 32-18 where Michigan had like 7 draft picks and a couple of Pro Bowl/All pros. That team was undercoached in the bowl game clearly and they got burned by a slow and overrated Dwayne Jarrett. Are you serious? I was at that game (it was 2006 season). USC was much better than Michigan . USC won 38- 18

USC was not more talented that that 2006 Michigan team. That team had Leon Hall, Lamar Woodley, Alan Branch and David Harris on defense. Those were 4 guys whom during the late 2000s, could have built the foundation to a top 10 NFL defense let alone a top college defense. That team was clearly outcoached by Carrol and Carr was a shell of himself. That team should have gone to the National Championship atleast but Carr had no clue how to coach against either a spread or against a team with similar talent. A lot of those players on your list weren't even fully developed. I didn't even mention Chad Henne, Mario Manningham, Jake Long, Adrian Arrington, Steve Breaston, or Brandon Graham(whom was not developed).USCs defense had LBs Ray Malauga, Clay Mathews , Brian Chushing, Kaluka Malava all of which started in the NFL with two defensive rookie of the years. Taylor Mays,Lawrence Jackson, Fili Moala, Keith Rivers. All of these on defense ended up drafted.
On Offense you had Sanchez and Booty both of which got drafted, Charles Brown , Fred Davis, Ryan Kalil were others who were drafted. Get outta here with a couple of all pros.lol. USC was clearly the more talented team.
