Thoughts?

To lazy to actual scout these picks from top to bottom. I most likely will check them out at some point. I think you did right going after a WR as the first pick, because it's a deep draft for OL. I read where the fourth round is the sweet spot for OL. I might of wanted more then two OL drafted, but hey...I think you did well.

I drafted 3. John Miller in the 3rd, B.J. Finney in the 4th and Austin Shepherd in the 5th. Also, everyone seemed to like the Olinemen this year, there were 50 of them taken and the draft isn't technically over yet.

i would be very happy with this draft. I like Coats at 63 and then you grabbed 3 Olineman in rounds 3-5. That is a homerun for me. Miller is a day one starter at left Guard, and i like the Finney selection for competition at Center. As for your Shepherd pick i have a good feeling Ali Marpet will be there with one of their 4ths and they snag him. He can play both OT and C and we know the Hawks love those Olineman that can play more than 1 spot also i see not problems with him at guard in a pinch ( injuries or such ).

The Hawks will draft a SS but i do not see them doing that till at or after Round 5 as CB will come before a SS.

All in all i would be happy with your mock though.

As for your Shepherd pick i have a good feeling Ali Marpet will be there with one of their 4ths and they snag him. He can play both OT and C and we know the Hawks love those Olineman that can play more than 1 spot also i see not problems with him at guard in a pinch ( injuries or such ).

In the mock, Ali Marpet was gone in the third round. A lot of the guys I was targeting seemed to go pretty early. I'll post the picks.

Here's some of the surprises/interesting things I thought happened (and it's interesting to see how different people/fanbases look at the same players).

1.09 - Amari Cooper fell to #9 and the Giants, who were ecstatic to add him to Beckham and Cruz.
1.10 - Marcus Mariota went to St. Louis without any real effort from anyone to move up and get him.
1.15 - 49ers take Dorial Green-Beckham, I fear for them that Aldon Smith's issues will be forgotten due to DGB's issues.
2.11 - The Browns took Arie Kouandjio what I felt was a round sooner than he should have gone.
2.15 - The Chiefs took my target for the 2nd round - Hroniss Grasu
2.28 - The Oline was highly targeted, the Vikings took Jeremiah Poutasi out of Utah, perhaps 3 rounds early.
3.07 - 3rd QB off the board is Brett Hundley to Chicago.
3.13 - Hayes Pullard (another 5th round or later guy) is taken by the Browns.
3.33 - New England takes Jarvis Harrison - potentially 4 rounds too soon.
4.17 - Jamon Brown (another 7th round prostpect) taken by Houston.
5.25 - Panthers take Tyeler Davison, possibly 2 rounds early.
6.07 - Chicago takes Ibraheim Campbell, someone I have as possibly going in the second round.
7.19 - Connor Halliday was taken by Washington - not sure I even see him being picked.

Trends I notice:
The guys seemed to all look at Oline as a need, and 1 in 4 picks was an Olineman, and 22 were taken in the first 3 rounds. DBs were also a hot commodity, with 48 taken overall and as many as 13 in one round. 14 of the 31 CBs taken were at least 6'1" tall, including the first 7. QBs weren't highly thought of overall, with 8 of the 13 Qbs selected happened in the last 3 rounds (4 in the 7th). WRs were similar to CBs as that the first 6 (and 10 out of the first 11) were 6'1" or taller, and 24 of the 31 overall. 21 RBs were taken, with 11 in the 2nd and 3rd rounds.
