How about a no bench Baseball draft where:

26 Rounds

We draft

7 starting pitchers(3 pitchers will start for both LEFTIES and RIGHTIES)
5 Relief pitchers

14 batters

we make a lineup vs lefties and a lineup vs righties, with 4 offensive bats playing for both lineups...

We can draft 13 HOFers(all MVPs are also HOFers)

Here is the twist: of the 7 players(4 bats, 3 SP) that play for both teams, only 3 can be HOFers, and NONE can be from the first 5 rounds...

With the way this draft going we should set it up for a 2020 Salary cap draft.

How about an old school NFL format

7 offensive linemen QB,LH,LH,RH

5 DL 3 LB 2 LDH 1 RS 1 LS

Kinda like a like a pre forward pass format

QBs can be either left handed or right handed

So, NFL is next and I feel like a salary cap draft...

Since everyone loves limitations how about we combine limitations with a cap!!!!

You draft 24 players.

You can draft 1 WR who had 80+ TD’s
You can draft 2 DB who had 50+ int’s
You can draft 2 players who had 100+ sacks
You can draft a max total of 6 white players
You can draft a max total of 3 players who played their entire career on one team (one season on a team is excluded)

Add in salary cap $1 per PB. No pro bowls = $0
$3 per MVP

Fuck it, let's get weird:

22 Player draft, since people said they were judging off of this anyways despite having 24 players.

Every drafter gets 6 Wild Cards

So whoever is 1st up in the draft takes a player, say Jerry Rice. The 2nd pick must now take a WR position. From here you have 3 options:

1) Take a player of the same position: WR
2) Take a player from another positions, BUT this player must be a teammate of the previous pick for at least 2 years.
3) Use a Wild Card to change the position.

So in my example above, the 2nd pick could do all of the following things:

1) Take another WR say Randy Moss.
2) Take another teammate of Rice's, say Joe Montana. The position has now been changed to QB.
3) Use a wild card. If they use a single wild card they get to simply choose another player from another position, which would then reset the position.

The stipulations above only apply to the first 18 rounds. Rounds 19-22 act as normal drafting rounds so teams can fill out their positions as necessary.

We can call this the UNO draft. I tried to incorporate Skips and Reverses in this, but it would just make things unmanageable.

So our draft is going to be based off two other people the entire draft. If I am next to Milk or Ritz that basically means I am fucked...but I actually like the idea lolz

The thing about this is if we do 22 then we all have to draft the exact same positions.

Oh and I never said I judged based on 22.

Either 22 or 24 whichever y'all want. Simple rules.

If we go with 22 you select 22 players that began their careers in 22 different seasons. You can't pick more than 5 players in any one decade.

$200 Cap
$3 for a HOFer
$2 for every year an All Pro
$1 for every year a pro bowler

(When it comes to pro bowl or all pro you use the higher number)

Since we are going with different ideas, here is mine. Instead of each pick being one player, it's a position group. You can select any group that played together for one full season. So you are getting anywhere from 3-5 players with each pick. Position groups are:

1 QB/RB/FB- (2)....You will select two picks in the draft for this group, meaning you will have 6 players from those two picks
2 WR/ 1 TE - (2)
5 OL - (2)
4 DL - either 3 or 4 depending on system. if you are 4-3, you get 2 DT and 2 DE (2 picks, 8 players)
3 LB - again, if you are a 4-3 set, you get 3 LB's. (2 picks, 6 players)
4 DB's - 2 CB, 2 S (2 picks, 8 players)
3 Specialists - P, K - (2 picks, 4 players)

So here is how it works. Say I had the 1st pick in the draft and I decided to take the 1996 Cowboys QB/RB/FB with my 1st pick. I could then add Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith and Moose Johnston to my roster. Then later on, I took the 2005 Steelers as my other QB/RB/FB pick and added Big Ben, Willie Parker and Dan Kreider. Those six players would be my roster for those positions. Then it would be up to me as to who my starters were, who was my backup QB and who was my 3rd down back. Same thing at WR/TE. Let's say that my WR/TE'S ended up being Julio Jones, Roddy White and Tony Gonzales from the Falcons and Wes Chandler, Charlie Joiner and Kellen Winslow from the Chargers. I could show 4 WR sets, two TE sets, whatever I want, and I added 6 players with only two picks.

***The great thing about this draft, IMO, would be that we would be drafting 48 man rosters, but the draft would only be 14 total rounds long!

Also, like any mock, the same player can't play for two teams, meaning once I took Troy, Emmitt and Moose, someone could go to a 70's Cowboys squad and take Roger, Tony D and Robert Newhouse, but not the 3 guys I took.

we can also do the alphabetical Draft... there are 26 letters in the english dictionary but we draft 24 players.... so 2 letters are not included... your choice of letter...

a player qualifies for a letter if their first or last name starts with it...

so the best O-lineman of all time qualifies for E and W since his name is erik williams
