I'm not sure. WAR is good enough for a large majority of MLB front offices (albeit their version)...so that's my vote.

The point isn't to eliminate value players it's to create a new system of drafting where the drafters can attack value. As opposed to the same'ol same.

Spud Chandler's cap hit would go from 4 to 2 using WAR seasons. So I expect NOS to be all over this.

I dont think it is too much different than AS appearances, it looks like the majority of the pre 1033 players are valued pretty good. Always going to be players under or overestimated though

The same strategy just mixes it up. Overall, it is a good idea. I’m fine with that

Wait, why didn't you wait for me?! Anything different is good IMO, what might work best for this draft is to not use relievers at all, maybe draft two teams or something just so it's not just a 14 round draft but I like it!

That brings up a good point...in all these years we never tried NO RP’s. Of course it is an important part of the game but I would be up for it once. Easier for this cap.

28 round cap AND bucket draft

Where? If we usually do 18 rounds and we take away 4 for RPs, how do we get to 28? 2 teams each? AL and NL?

I'm all for no RPs they are vastly overrated on here. Not that they aren't important. Its just that for the most part RPs are fickle year to year and theres so many good ones thay everyone has good pens and all capable of being dominant any day.

What's the plan? We already did a teammate draft for NBA.

So do we try a MLB Cap Draft with those new salaries or do a NBA and MLB Cap Bucket draft (we can still use Hall's spreadsheet for MLB)?
