Clemente, was my player that I was talking about... I think he is extremely over-rated... But he was the best player available... This will probably be the only draft I will ever draft him...

10 teams is no joke... All of my players who I have drafted in previous drafts, who I waited on, have all been taken... The duke Snider pick KILLED me... the Ralph Kiner pick hurt my feelings too...

Clemente is not overrated, he was a great hitter, won 4 batting titles and was an excellent right fielder, people romanticize him because of how he finished up at exactly 3,000 hits and how he died but he was a great player.

Look at it this way... He was not a power hitter, he was not an OBP machine= over-rated IMO... You cant be both a middling power guy and a middling OBP guy... That is over-rated IMO... But now that I have him, he is the best player ever... Better than babe Ruth... I should win because he is on my team...

You value OBP waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to much. The guy was just a hitter, the fact he didn't walk a lot doesn't take away from the fact he was a great hitter and an excellent fielder.

Thing that always made me say hmmmm was the fact he had twice as many triples as stolen bases, you'd think with all those triples he had some speed but never stole more than 12 in a season.

Clemente was a great player. I went back and forth on him and Kaline. Certainly not a player who will hurt you in the voting

You value OBP waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to much. The guy was just a hitter, the fact he didn't walk a lot doesn't take away from the fact he was a great hitter and an excellent fielder.

Thing that always made me say hmmmm was the fact he had twice as many triples as stolen bases, you'd think with all those triples he had some speed but never stole more than 12 in a season.

His defense was his saving grace to why I drafted him.

Maybe I do value OBP and walks too much. But a player who doesn't walk And averages under 20 hrs per season is over-rated in my opinion. His defense was the only reason I drafted him over Darryl strawberry!!!
