Yep...."The Cowboys have roughly $8.5 million in salary-cap space. That's enough money to fit in a new contract for a free-agent linebacker, if the team deems one necessary to fill Sean Lee's spot at middle linebacker. Currently Justin Durant is No. 1 on the depth chart at middle linebacker"
maybe that Romo restructure had value after all.
Who knows but McClain seems worth the risk at this time in his career.
You lost me. im thinking he is getting around the veteran minimum. So unless I'm wrong on that how was any of that cap savings needed for him? I think we all expected a signing like this after Lee went down. I know I said in some thread recently we'll probably see a Durant/Simms type of signing. That's basically what this is. If anything bringing in a guy like McClain who isn't a lock to make the team reinforces that we have cap issues IMO.
hang in there jarntt, we'll spend the money.
When this coming season is the only thing that matters, people tend to continue to look for ways to upgrade
UH OH. One bad MF. Hope he straightens up. I just hope he stays away from Witten in TC.
