This is a crazy matchup. 2nd and 3rd in my rankings I have to give it to Smitty because I feel there is a bigger gap between the lineups than the starting rotation. Also as nasty as Chapman is, him as closer is a little ambitious considering he's barely ever thrown any pressure pitches in his life.

I drew an absurdly tough matchup again in the first round. I would pick my squad, but Smitty has a great team. Milks point about Smittty finding great pitching is well taken, but my pitchers average a +9 in career ERA+ PER MAN, won 200 more games, and had a higher winning %.

As far as the lineups, Smittty has more power, in the middle, no doubt, but my starters average 300 homers each, CAREER average .315/man, and stole over 2000 bases. I also think I have a slight edge in bullpen/bench. That said, Smittty has the most intimidating lineup top to bottom, great pitching and no holes

Could have easily been the Championship game

You're on crack if you think his rotation is better. Lineup. He's awesome, and his starting pitching is awesome. But I'm better across the board in the rotation, wins, winning %, ERA+, whatever

You are probably right your rotation is probably better... But not by that much... Probably should edit what I write sometimes...

Gotta go with UK... Hate to do it but slight edge pitching beats slight edge hitting IMO because I always lean D... Hate voting against Smitty though, also had UK ranked 3 so I've voted by my rankings in all 4 which is wierd for me but being the new booty I can only rely on what I read... Sorry to all who should win but lose due to my vote and congrats to those who win when I'm right!

I'd give UK the edge in rotation. He has the best rotation on this Mock. I like the Kershaw and Santana picks a lot. Considered both. And the others are greats.

I think the bullpens are pretty close. UK makes a good point against himself with Chapman. But the same goes for Bettances. Although not my closer. I love his Schanz pick and Sutter as a setup is a bitch. I'm saying push on pens. Like em both, similar in setup.

But my lineup, imo is the best. My least favorite is Joe Morgan and his prime years are unreal. Then it's a stretch of guys who don't like to make outs, can run, hit for power like only several players ever and dont strike out much. Jackson, Mays, Griffey, Aaron, Sisler, (McGwire against the lefties),Miggy isn't a stretch even the greats are going to cruise thru twice.

This could have been a worthy Championship.

My vote goes Smitty. If it's double elimination, UK very well could get my vote a bunch of times.

I went through all the pitchers numbers. Waddell and Joss were unbelievable. All 10 were really. I knew Walter Johnson would have an insane career ERA plus, which he did at 148, but I was surprised that it was only good for 2nd of the 10. Kershaw had the 1st

I'll be honest, I don't really want to do rankings. Especially after the fact.

I have no problem with my team losing to your team. I don't take any exception to it at all. Now,...... losing to other teams,...... I would have been a wompin and a woopin',..... beatin' the living shit outta e'ry thin that moves.
