Players...
All players who are in the HOF whos career began prior to 1933 will cost $25
All players who are not in the HOF whos career began prior to 1933 are NOT ELIGIBLE
Players whos career began between 1933 - 2000 will cost $1 for every all star game appearance
Players whos career began between 1933 - 2000 who are in the HOF will cost an addition $5
Players whos career began between 2001 - 2016 are not eligible
Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens & Alex Rodriguez will cost $25
George Herman Ruth will cost $40

The Salary Cap is $200

You will draft 24 players.

1 each C,1B,2B,SS,3B,LF,CF,RF,DH
5 bench players who you can use to play defense for less than good defenders in your lineup
5 starting pitchers
5 relief pitchers

Each playoff round will be a five game series.

And I'm not sure I like the max 3 $0 guys. I know it was said in the NBA draft, but not really "enforced" that too many 0s would count against you in the voting. But I think in baseball it would hurt a lot more than basketball. Plus, in baseball, I don't feel like your bench is near as important than in basketball. Lots of times, a bench player in baseball isn't used except for 1 at bat or pinch running. I think we should just eliminate the bench altogether for this.

I agree. No bench, just starters. So 8 positional, DH, 5 starters and 6 relievers. 20 players

The cap has to be lowered as well.

I'm thinking if you want a pinch runner thats fine it may just end up making your defense not as good.

Ok, so basically 5 defensive bench players to substitute your starters, so you can focus on purely offense for 5 positional starters if ya want...which in most baseball drafts you will do regardless.

5 bench players (that you can substitute starters for defense specifically)
5 starting pitchers
6 relief pitchers

Normally, the bench, as well as defense are devalued. I thought we could take our 5 bench players, and use them as on defense as defensive starters. Namedropping, but Brooks Robinson and Keith Hernandez are hardly ever picked, and they were great players. So say your batting lineup has Thome at 1B. If you have Hernandez on the bench, you can show him as a defensive starter. That would add value to the bench and defensive play
