I know they figure out the position players for the all star game. But who does everyone think will be the starting pitcher for the AL and NL all star teams?

I would think the first choice for the A.L would be Max Scherzer, with Hisashi Iwakuma being my 2nd choice. In the N.L, I think it would be Adam Wainwright, or Clayton Kershaw.
No way should it be Scherzer right now. Buchholz far better numbers and same undefeated
Educate me then please. Besides e.r.a, which numbers are better for Buchholz?
Whip? Batting avg. against? K's? K's per 9?
Am I missing something?
My Picks for the NL and AL are Kershaw. Then AL is either Felix, Scherzer Iwakuma or Darvish
I would hope for the hometown team's sake Harvey will be on the roster, not as the starter but he deserves to get an inning or 2 in.

Numbers wise? King Felix, Iwakuma.
As soon as Scherzer loses a start or two he isnt even considered anymore. So he better stay undefeated.
I think Ellsbury is a possibility as well. Not seeing much offensive production out of AL outfielders this year and while Ellsbury is lacking in power, his .360+ OBP and ridiculous stolen bases numbers should put him over the top. If you add up all those extra bases he is taking with his legs alone, his slugging percentage would jump up nearly 100 points. So, who frow your faorite team will be going?
I'll start with thr Red Sox:
Definite: David Ortiz. The definition of DH.
Probable: Dustin Pedroia. The only reason he is not definite is because of Kipnis. I predict his 4.3 WAR will force the AL squad to take 3 secondbasemen.
Possible: Clay Buchholz. The best pitcher in the AL will likely get picked - then decline due to injury and be replaced. He may make the trip to cheer them on...
Votto is the only player that deserves to start. Phillips shouldn't start over Carpenter and Leake should be on the team, not Latos. The NL should take 6 outfielders I would think and no way Bruce deserves the nod.Reds-Joey Votto,Brandon Phillips Will start
Bench-Jay Bruce,CHOO,
Pitchers-Latos,Chapman
6 All-stars pretty good, and in my opinion Latos should be starting, if it wasn't for the bullpen blowing some games he could easily have 12 wins.
