low costThe weird thing is the Red Sox already had the full “James Paxton Experience” last year and he was mediocre, at best. He’s pretty-much cooked at this stage of his career. I don’t really get it.

Chapman is an absolute joy to watch. I knew he was good when we signed him, but has exceeded my expectations, watching him every day. I am actually neutral on trading him, because he is also a great clubhouse guy, and those guys are valuable in a youth movement.I picked my Orioles seats from 2014-2019 in part because I wanted to sit up close and watch Manny Machado at 3B. I had the ticket package where I got to watch one game in each series. Getting close up to watch Machado every series, as well as get a glance once a year with Donaldson (later, got to see him 3-4 times a year) and Chapman was pretty fun.
I know nothing about this Bolivar kid, but he looks like a very nice lotto ticket. This is his age 16 season, and he is putting up decent numbers in the Dominican League. For a DFA-dump, that is a great return.Red Sox acquired LHP James Paxton from Dodgers, according to ESPN’s Jeff Passan.
It’s a done deal, according to Passan. Paxton is going back to Boston, where he pitched in 2023, after being designated for assignment by the Dodgers earlier this week. He has a 4.43 ERA in 89 1/3 innings this year. The Dodgers will receive 17-year-old Moises Bolivar as part of the deal. Paxton figures to slot into the Red Sox rotation for the rest of the season.
Yeah he can strike some guys out so maybe the bullpen works. He's getting a big downgrade in ballparks for a left handed pitcher though. That Green monster probably feels pretty close to him compared to pitching in Seattle.
yikes, you're right. Although he did get some swinging strikes in 3 of his last 5 starts so maybe he's coming around. But those walks are a killer.Might wanna recheck this this year
He has one of the worst K rates in baseball I believe. And walks a shit ton
Looks very similar to another trade that was just posted to this thread…Orioles acquired RHP Seranthony Dominguez and OF Christian Pache from Phillies in exchange for OF Austin Hays.
A day after Craig Kimbrel blew his sixth save, the Orioles have added some help for their bullpen. Dominguez is having a down year for his standards. His 4.75 ERA is well above his career 3.55 ERA and 3.78 ERA from 2023. Dominguez wasn’t an option for saves with the Phillies and doesn’t seem to be in line to close games for the Orioles either.
Ugh! And they aren’t even going to use him in the bullpen?? He can’t even give you more than 4 innings as a starter. He going to crush the bullpen. The Red Sox are not a serious organization anymore.Red Sox acquired LHP James Paxton from Dodgers, according to ESPN’s Jeff Passan.

Hopefully continues with some coming out no where and still a lot on Tuesday and a lot checking Twitter on MLB Network on Monday night for latest rumors.Trades happening early this season
How am I just hearing about this now? Why have all of you been keeping him a secret from me all these years?Mark Hendrickson from the Washington State University played in the NBA and MLB
