I love your analysis.
Just a few points of clarification. Trumbo is strictly a DH in these game so his defense won't come into play. Montero's & Martin's defensive numbers are virtually identical with .991 vs .992 fielding % & both catch base stealers at a 32% clip. I went with Montero because he is slightly the better hitter & gave the lineup more balance being LH.
In their best defensive seasons, Martin had a fielding percentage of .998 (2013) compared to Montero's .992 (2012). I used 2012 for Montero because he also threw out 42% of baserunners, which helped push it in front of the .994 in 2013 (33% CSPCT) and the .996 in 2010 (31% CSPCT and only 79 games played).
