Being you're new maybe we should fill you in on Ritz' trading practices...

For the newbies.
A) Trades are allowed as long as they are approved by Nos or myself. They can include draft picks, or players or both as long as its a equal number. No Reggie Jackson for 3 picks. Example: It can be Reggie Jackson and your last 2 draft picks for someones next 3 draft picks.

B) Like Nos was referring to in his post above. I have had several trades accepted that were clearly 1 sided in my favor so I have been labeled a cheater. My quote that got me in trouble was "I only do trades that are in my favor, I wont accept a trade if its a even trade because I want to clearly have a better player". I have been called the Drew Rosenhaus/ Billy Beane of the trades.

Nos I think you can get to 10,000 posts in this draft. I cant wait to hit that milestone. I seriously cant believe when I started drafting with you 6-9? months ago that I only had 450 posts. Man time flies when you are having fun Mocking. SportsHoopla got me through
1. Learning my son might not live past birth
2. Learning he will live but his right kidney has no function
3. Marriage trouble
4. My sons kidney surgery
5. Being fired from work
6. Squeezing by financially on 1 paycheck and racking up huge debt
7. Finding a awesome job as para professional with kid with cerebral palsy (very intelligent and witty kid)
8. Friday having knee surgery

This place isn't a yahoo chat room but you meet amazing posters who you call friends. You get PM's with kind words, you get funny shit talk from guys or ladies (Nos), you get a place that you can get away from your daily life and just relax with other posters. You can stick to one team thread or branch out and post about all kinds of different team on millions of other threads even if your talking out of your ass like I usually am. So to Hammer, Fordman, Red Alert, Trojanfan, and many other Mod's thank you for making this a place where I call my second home.

I call on the draft order. I did a actual draft randomizer and sent Nos the list. I'm guessing he wanted to hook himself up and his buddy Mr. Hockey up with a Top 4 pick and screw over the rest of us. I am submitting my appeal notice now in case (sure thing) that I lose in the 1st round of the playoffs.

Separate note: Nos are we going to form a Championship selection committee or continue like in past drafts of doing the whole thing by votes from posters?

We have noticed in the past that its not actually a fair vote especially during the championship games. Last draft got ruined because someone who wasn't part of the draft posted to his friends that they should vote for team 2 only and then Team 2 got 10 votes in a matter of 30 minutes. It basically ruined the whole draft. So Nos and I were thinking of having a uneven number of guys (selection committee)pick the winner of the championship game matchup. It was a thought but would like everyone's thought on it. Well everyone's except Bums.

1. Pete Rose
2. Nolan Ryan
3. Reggie Jackson

Then a big drop off after that IMO
I debated with Murray and 2 other 1st baseman.

Yah it was great that we got so many votes and thanks for the tie breaker vote but it shouldn't have ever been tied in the first place because Team 4 was ahead we thought comfortably until that poster told guys to vote for Team 2. By having a impartial 7 guy committee would really decide a true winner. But before we search a 7 person committee we would like to know what everyone's opinions on it.

Smitty send me a PM saying he wanted a different player. I told him it was fine but want to confirm with him if that's exactly what he wants first. I PM'd UK and told him to wait till 6:30 before selecting. Hopefully Smitty replies back soon.

It is for fun but we also want it fair. Everyone that drafts does a lot of work and I want a honest winner that had the best team. Now with the winner earning 100vCash I really want the guy with the best team to win and not lose because someone was more popular. If Hammer was playing and drafted the worst team on paper and then we held a playoff vote I bet you he would win in a landslide.
