It'll be interesting to see how people rate these teams... I'm sure we'll have some old school/new school debates...

FYI I picked from Smitty's list last night and I was just informed by him that he doesn't have room for the player so I erased his pick.

Smitty and Doobee are OTC.

Penn state secondary can you please come out of the locker room and join the rest of the team. Northwestern is making you look like your a HS team. :L

I have changed my jersey already to hopefully change the momentum. I have ignored my jinx dog and have the other one close to me. Hired a babysitter to watch my son so I can watch this embarrassment of the 1st qtr.

Well ladies and gents we are getting ready to do our next draft after we have crowned a Champion in our current NBA Salary Cap Challenge.
We will hold voting as usual after the draft is completed.

PLAYERS WILL JUDGED AS IF THEY ARE IN THEIR PRIME...

How will we determine the Prime years? Their best season? Thier best 5? Their best 10? The best ten year stretch?

Will we be judging based on a functional roster? (Like backup for each position?) (I just drafted some pinch runners with a ton of stolen bases.)

I always use best season, one reason is for players like Fidrych, who only had 1 good year, but it was a really good year (I know someone took him). It wouldn't be fair to dock him for not playing longer (injuries I believe). When he was good, he was really good.

Also, it helps me put together a statistical breakdown that is easier to understand. I do one for each team.

Best season?

Well that would have been helpful to know 20 rounds ago.... I started drafting based on best careers...

How about best five or ten? Or, for short term players, the best half of their career?

I'd have to agree. If we are really considering each player in their ''prime'', he's as good as Palmer and Carlton at the top of my rotation, IMO anyway. Before the stroke, he was putting up Nolan Ryan strikeout numbers

Threw a nono trippin' his balls off too. That can't be easy.

Doin' work for my Grandma today. Just keep skipping me. I'll search for relievers later on tonight.

When it comes time for a vote I somewhat mesh career, prime and best seasons. When were talking seven game series I try and give a guy credit for what he's was capable of when healthy, at his best.

But freakshow seasons like Brady Anderson that one year, that's not going to be what I deem as capable.

Steve you will see everyone judge differently. There is no right way to vote. I go head to head matchups during the playoff games. Team A has Catcher John Smith vs Team B has Catcher Jimmy Smith. I pick who I think is better and that team gets 1 pt for them. Then I go onto next position. Who ever has the most points after all the positions and bench is the team I vote for.

Other guys go by whose team has the best numbers in certain categories, some vote on how well the team fits together, some just vote on who has the most guys they actually have heard of. So when it comes your time to vote on the playoff matchups its up to you who you think as the better team and that answer is anyone playing Nos :yahoo:Thanks for participating in this mock draft and hope you have enjoyed it.
