It certainly can seem like quite the chicken or the egg problem but when our defenses shut down OOC competition during bowl season, maybe it really has something to do with how we play defense

Maybe that has to do with who they are matched up with OOC. I'm not saying that SEC defenses suck...but I think similarly about SEC offense as I do about Big12 defense. It seems like SEC fans seem to think they would be offensive juggernauts in other leagues, but every other good offense in the country would be shit in the SEC. BTW, lets not pretend like the SEC doesn't lose their fair share of OOC games.

Seems like there have been a lot of OOC matchups that have been against outstanding offensive teams that were absolutely held in check, while the offense from the sec team was just doing it's thing, not scoring a ton, but getting it done

I know fans of plenty of SEC teams including LSU fans.(one being an architect who is originally from Louisiana and an LSU graduate.)

LSU was ranked 86th in the country in total offense....that is probably why everybody thinks LSU's offense sucked last year.
