Guys, just a one-off SEASONAL league to test this, with 16 owners and each owner has two independent teams, which can't trade with each other or pick up each other's drops.

Starter draft first, and then a bench draft later.

I don't think Milk is contemplating including K or D. So just six rounds for starters and six rounds for bench.

If it's a slow draft it could be a single draft, otherwise it makes sense to break it into two. I don't think everyone would be up for a 384-pick live draft, especially when people are combing through dregs in the late rounds.

Maybe draft starters as a live draft and bench as a slow draft.

I think we have been trending toward more and more slow drafts aside from MBBRL main leagues.

Just don’t have to worry about coordinating peoples schedules.

That’s not a fix. That is assuming everyone takes a qb in the first round of the starters draft.

I assume the opposite since we have to have a full starting roster before bench.

I also like 6 starters because that means if you don’t start a qb you are at least should be starting someone better than if you are starting 7.

No matter what there will be more than just the bye weeks where someone won’t be starting a qb.

I see how the relative value of the 33rd QB could be a lot more than any remaining non-QBs.

Maybe the answer is to have the first four rounds fill out SF, RB, WR and RWT, and the next eight rounds fill out remaining flexes or bench in whatever order you want. That way in Round 5 people would pick guys like Minshew as a bench QB vs Curtis Samuel or Zach Charbonnet as a starting flex, rather than Minshew as a bench QB vs Cade Otton or AJ Dillon as a bench RWT in the 7th.

im trying to set it up on sleeper right now... got basically everything set up, as they allow 32 teams...

i am having trouble finding the option for one owner to own more than one team... does anyone know if sleeper allows it??

I have an out of the box idea... first 6 rounds is the starters

then we pause the draft and have an auction for only QBs... using FAAB- so if we start the season with 1K or 100 FAAB, and whatever you spend on QBs you wont have during the season... if you win more than one QB, then you have one less player to draft when the draft resumes...

As always, 0 bids are allowed in season...

Now this will only work if we agree that FAAB is the way to go for in season transactions...

if we go with standard waiver wire priority, then of course the above idea will not work...

in no way do I want the most important position on the roster (in a 32 team league) to be determined on a friggin blind bid system.

Do whatever you want with eh wavier wire crap though, as it'll largely be irrelevant anyway

I didn’t intend it to be a blind auction. I understand why you thought that since faab is blind.

But this was not intended to be blind.
