The two starters are two of the most athletic corners to start for VT in a long time, but athleticism isn't worth a shit when you can't cover or tackle.
Yea it was pretty obvious before the season even started that the CB position was going to be a problem. I had just hoped the coaching staff could get the young guys going a little quicker. We played a pretty trash schedule this year. I thought 8-5 was about as bad as it could be. ODU was embarrassing, but we had no business getting rolled by GT and Pitt the way we did.
Losing our entire defense deflated excitement. I think pounding FSU got the hype train going
Farley literally has never played the position before this year. It doesn't matter how 'athletic' you are, a starting VT CB should have experience. DB should be our easiest position to recruit, and we still can't do it.
With all the losses on defense, I think Foster did a pretty damn good job with what he had to work with. Next year looks to be much better.
I give them a lot of credit and basically a pass on the season. Also proud of the kids for not folding at 4-6 and playing tough. But going to be much more critical next year. Anything short of winning the Coastal will cause grumbling
What have you heard about Josh Jackson? Is he getting a redshirt? How's his rehab going? Seems like it's took longer than it should.
