I think you misunderstood me. I was agreeing with what you said, and saying that I am one of those who was/would be upset with the trade.

While I'm often critical about Mayhew, Schwartz and the state of the team, and perhaps jaded at times, I'm not always negative about the Lions, and my posts aren't always negative. I recall a glowing post about the Warford pick, for instance. : ) With Bush added to a backfield already including Lashoure and Bell, Linehan will have enough of a challenge getting carries for those 3. I have a hard time seeing Thomas getting more than a couple carries on the season. Linehan runs his offense and likes to stick to his script. Imagination isn't his thing.

I don't eat them -- I go to McDonald's to get a large Diet Coke every day. I get the McNuggets for my dog. A 4 piece McNugget wouldn't do too much for me.

For those of you thinking nuggets are nasty. Do you eat chicken at all? I went to baker college for culinary. The head chef of the whole college wont eat chicken period. If only you knew how chickens went from point A to the grocers. Pretty disgusting.

They stack chickens in cages one on top of another. As long as chickens have food in a lit up place, they will constantly eat. Then when one has to shit? He sits on his neighbor stacked below him. And so on. Guess it would be nice to be stacked on top. Then when it comes time for butchering? They go down a line and get a conventory bath/wash. Dipped in warm water to pull feathers and stuff off. The pores in the skin open up and the water seeps into the pores. The same water that chicken after chicken is getting dipped into, with all that shit and everything. So next time u bite into a nice piece of fried chicken, cuz we all love the crispy skin huh, remember it was the skin that soaked up all that shit water.

So that was culinary 101 class today. And mike thomas still sucks. I dont think thomas will see the field that much to make a difference.

Oh yeah forgot to mention that they keep the chickens in the cages and leave the lights on all day with food in front of them to eat. So all they do is eat and shit all day...........now back to football

All depends on where you buy your chickens from. If you're getting cheap supermarket chickens, then yes, they will be just as you described. However, there are cage free brands at most supermarkets, they cost more, but the quality is much higher.

The best way is to buy from a local farmer or local butcher who buys from a local farmer. In the summer when the farmer's markets are open you can get the highest quality chx out there for less than supermarket costs.

My old man has several dozen chickens on his farm, so I haven't bought one in years...

Ask yourself Tpaul...If the LIons got a 4th or 5th pick right now for Thomas? Would ya not say SUCKERS!!! I would and be happy about it!!

I'd sell him for a 4th, keep him for a 5th.

I think a lot of you guys are down on him after he didn't contribute much last year, but it's hard to come into a new offense in the middle of the season and make an impact as a WR.

I think there's a plan in place for his unique skill-set, and I think we'll see him be far more productive out of that combo-back role this season. I'm predicting 35-ish receptions for about 400 yards and 3 TDs, plus 40-45 carries for about 250 yards and a TD.

I'm not suggesting he'll be a huge part of the offense, but I think he can be a qulaity bit-player in our offense. He's a real speed weapon, and his ability to line up in the backfield or in the slot makes him a problem for the defense to match up with.

I also think he factors heavily into the competition for the KR/PR spot(s)...
