Shea is a qb trainer for lack of a better term. He works with qbs in the offseason. He has worked with many high profile qbs.
He also has been a coach, mostly a qb coach for a couple of teams, and was the OC for the bears for one year before being fired. No real success as a coach.
In that case...hell no to Shea? Why would we have a failure at OC?
So we are going to just listen to the RG3 camp?
Does he send a limo for RG3's wife at away games?
Did he not congratulate KC after his win and go straight to RG3?
In hindsight I believe that the major flaw was not hiring a true GM (not Allen who is an administrative & salary cap guy) first & then having that person hire the head coach. Also - as I have stated several times - don't hire big name coaches who previously won a SB elsewhere - their track record is generally bad.
I would add to pt # 2 above - Haslett has also for the most part been a terrible defense coach wherever he has been - he should not have been hired in the first place. As for # 6 above - don't buy it. A decent ST coach should be able to get his players to at least be able to have decent return blocking and coverage - they have neither. Special teams are generally manned by young, hungry players & coaching is key. It is just a cop out to put the blame strictly on the players.
I agree that they need additional WRs & O-lineman but would put the priority on the lineman since neglect in that area can (and likely will) result in major damage to your most prized player.
Oh well - I mentioned before that need to make some major decisions over the offseason. The past weekend makes that even more important.
Mike Shanahan Press ConferenceI have defended Mike Shanahan in wins and losses because I do not believe he is to blame for the team's performance. I believe the team's performance is linked to 36 million in penalties and a lack of talent because of it...especially on STs. I believe the team's performance is linked to RG3 going through a rough year and (assuming he remains with the team) hopefully he recovers from it.
Now with Mike Shanahan starting KC over RG3, I am assuming RG3 is actually pissed about this (rightfully so). Mike Shanahan has to go. He has to be fired because RG3 can never trust the Shanahan's again.
Now that KC is starting, I hope he does extremely well and we win 3 straight. I then hope Mike gets fired, then gets hired by Houston, and then we trade KC to Houston for their first this year and next with a conditional first if Houston makes the playoffs with KC both seasons. I then hope we trade back one to two spaces so somebody can grab Bridgewater and we can grab Clowney.
