Shea is a qb trainer for lack of a better term. He works with qbs in the offseason. He has worked with many high profile qbs.

He also has been a coach, mostly a qb coach for a couple of teams, and was the OC for the bears for one year before being fired. No real success as a coach.

In that case...hell no to Shea? Why would we have a failure at OC?

When you talk to people close to Griffin, it's clear he is tired of how his relationship with Snyder has been portrayed, that they're not as close as the stories suggest and don't talk often, especially during the season. Snyder was knocked in the past for chummy relationships with players; it created a hierarchy that others in the locker room did not like at all. Snyder hasn't created a winning organization and he has done a lot that can be criticized because he has presided over seven 10-loss seasons and only three 10-win seasons. Maybe he never builds one. But in this case, he has done what Shanahan wants in terms of building the bubble and moving camp to Richmond, among other moves. And it's safe to say Griffin also knows that, fair or not, any move involving Shanahan will stain him in the short term (and if they hire Art Briles, it will do so even more, a lot more). It's also true that the other young players on the roster are having a tough time with all the stories and distractions. The veterans? They've seen worse.

read this RG3 haters . this is from Rg3's camp . now you jumped on one assumption , well here is the other side . kiem is a respected reporter for most on this site

So we are going to just listen to the RG3 camp?

Does he send a limo for RG3's wife at away games?
Did he not congratulate KC after his win and go straight to RG3?

In hindsight I believe that the major flaw was not hiring a true GM (not Allen who is an administrative & salary cap guy) first & then having that person hire the head coach. Also - as I have stated several times - don't hire big name coaches who previously won a SB elsewhere - their track record is generally bad.

I would add to pt # 2 above - Haslett has also for the most part been a terrible defense coach wherever he has been - he should not have been hired in the first place. As for # 6 above - don't buy it. A decent ST coach should be able to get his players to at least be able to have decent return blocking and coverage - they have neither. Special teams are generally manned by young, hungry players & coaching is key. It is just a cop out to put the blame strictly on the players.

I agree that they need additional WRs & O-lineman but would put the priority on the lineman since neglect in that area can (and likely will) result in major damage to your most prized player.

Oh well - I mentioned before that need to make some major decisions over the offseason. The past weekend makes that even more important.

First I based #6 on the article that you posted from the Washington post related to player no wanting to play STs because they thought that they were starter worthy. I'll create another post getting into more detail about that . Where I agree that there could have been more done by a better STs coach, it would be exceedingly difficult to change their attitudes.

THAT WAS A GREAT PRESSER !!! Cant wait till someone uploads a video.

Really sounded like he is fighting to return. Sounded truely upset about stories that he is trying to be fired. Said if he was trying to get fired, then why would he consult with Bruce and Dan about sitting Griffin ?

Wow, lot to chew on after that presser. More confused than ever. Shanny for the first time this season actually sounded candid and not evasive or overly defensive about some hard questions. Personally, More baffled than ever about all this.

The Official Fire Mike Shanahan Thread

I have defended Mike Shanahan in wins and losses because I do not believe he is to blame for the team's performance. I believe the team's performance is linked to 36 million in penalties and a lack of talent because of it...especially on STs. I believe the team's performance is linked to RG3 going through a rough year and (assuming he remains with the team) hopefully he recovers from it.

Now with Mike Shanahan starting KC over RG3, I am assuming RG3 is actually pissed about this (rightfully so). Mike Shanahan has to go. He has to be fired because RG3 can never trust the Shanahan's again.

Now that KC is starting, I hope he does extremely well and we win 3 straight. I then hope Mike gets fired, then gets hired by Houston, and then we trade KC to Houston for their first this year and next with a conditional first if Houston makes the playoffs with KC both seasons. I then hope we trade back one to two spaces so somebody can grab Bridgewater and we can grab Clowney.

Sounds like an ideal plan.

He may be gone. He overplayed RG3 last year and to sit him now is just the correction to last year. I think ther are issues anytime you lose.

The skins need some help on the Oline and I think they are shopping Cousins for a pick because the Rams have their 1st rounder. the Skins gave up a lot for RG3 and they have to protect that investment plus get him help ASAP.

And there are many good OTs in this upcoming draft.

Any idea why the rams are as shitty as they are despite having multiple high round picks for the last few years?!

I keep waiting for it all to fell for them, but........no.
