the sharks guys are really good. chicago has the most boring pair. washington has bennanatti and he is ok.i used to dislike him although he was pretty good in the playoffs. even when briere scored an ot winner in the beginning of the year he had a pretty good call and that was against washington.

ew.. pens announcers.. lange has an awesome voice, and does a great job most of the time.. but his goal call's drive me nuts.. 'scratch my back with a hacksaw'? seriously?.. the rented mule one is alright.. but they get old to me..

and i dont know how you can say errey is alright most of the time.. the pens announcers are among the worst to listen to IMO.. boston is up there cause edwards is a physco path.. but single worst announcer is craig laughlin in washington.. terrible voice and the BIGGEST homer-idiot out there.. i wish someone would sew his lips together

never had a problem w/ the buffalo guys.. they seem very neutral whenever i listen to them

sharks are my favorite or maybe they just had a good night haha.. the one night i've watched them they were freakin hilarious.. after darroll powe was introduced the color guy kept saying 'POW!' after everything the pxp guy said.. and i like doc as a PxP guy.. his ridiculously over the top vocabulary makes me laugh

.. i watch 90% of the games online cause i'm out of market.. and comcast is sweet so 99% of the time its the other teams feed.. in case you were wondering why i have so many different inputs haha

The Kings PBP guy is pretty decent. Don't know his name off the top. The ducks tv guys are very homerish. Loved watchin/listening to them during the 08-09 playoff series with the wings. It was epic homerism.

I like Bennannti. Decent voice, wasnt really biased during the playoffs (He might have something against the Flyers being rivals and all), and made some pretty good calls(A comeback of EPIC proportions COMES COMPLETE)

Doc is awful.

I always say if you can close your eyes and still follow the game the PBP guy is doing a good job. The Buffalo guys IMO between periods rip the shit out of the the team and I like that.

Give me an honest opinion and that's cool with me.

Yep, that's Lange to a T. You can feel the tension build even in his voice as the action heats up.

It's a different sport, but if any of 'yinz' spend any time in LA in the summer, tune in a LA Dodgers broadcast to hear Vin Scully. He is the last of a now extinct breed of broadcasters. Vin works the booth by himself. He doesn't need a color man, as he's full of any useful/useless stat under the sun.

one thing that i love about Lange is that, there are times when i just had the radio to rely on, and i swear it's like he can PREDICT goals. 80% of the time he'd build up a moment there'd be a goal. i was always amazed by that ability.

i've heard a few guys do it...not many though. i have NO idea how they do it, but it's like they know the moment to build it up, and they can FEEL the goal. heck, even if it isn't a goal, they normally have built it up enough to call a huge save anyway!

Lol! Exactly when you build up enough something is coming out! (Cue Michael Scott: THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID!) Even at games I know something is gonna happen. On the PP when they pass back and fourth form the point to the forwards on the side you know they are gonna score.

Vin Scully is a legend, no doubt. My other favorites are Harry Caray, Bob Prince and Harry Kalas.

As far as greatest sports announcer in my book in any sport is Keith Jackson.
