I think they're trying to avoid that if other injuries don't mount with hopes of getting him back a week or two sooner

Dallas rookie defensive end Demarcus Lawrence was given by Cowboys' IR-recall designation. The second-round pick suffered a broken right foot on July 29.

Lawrence is designated IR with the possibility to return. But that effectively means he cant play until week nine and cant practice until week seven.

Come on man, I thought we were on olive branch time. I just figured I would make sure you knew of this.

And to be honest Dallas was one of three places I did NOT want to see Sam go. His proclivities aside, kid has potential. He is raw by NFL standards. But he could be one of those players that could help Dallas long term.

I like the move as well. It can't possibly hurt us to have him. Wouldn't be shocked if he started a game this year.
