Not a bad idea if you ask me. The other home games on the schedule are garbage, and they won't get many fans to them anyways, so they'd be better off trying to sell out the two marquee home games at their disposal.
The actual ad is pretty bad, but I fail to see how the concept is bad for anyone. I guess the general smugness of college football fans is what makes this a story.
