Correct. With the season ending injury to Waiters, Tyler Johnson isn't cutting it and James Johnson been a huge disappointment. Those 2 are supposed to be 2 of our top 5 players.

No doubt one too many of our guys are having off years, but I think a trade may be a bit extreme. The Heat should look into the buyout market for some answers -- Heat just shoot themselves in the foot too much - hard to fix

The buyout market usually doesn't start until the end of February/early March. It may be too late if we wait until then with the way this team been playing for the last week and a half now.

Whiteside who had 19/14 played 23 minutes.

Don't pay a guy a max deal if this is how you treat him even on nights where he is dominant. I'm all for not playing a guy when he's stinking up the joint but to play a starter fewer than half of the game when he is dominant.

I think there would be(as there have been) cries for Hassan playing more than he has gotten on a given night even on a night he doesnt have it.

I said it a lot during the big 3 era -- no one player should get any special treatment for any one reason -- including what he gets paid. However, if you want to go the route of making a case for him based on performance -- then we got something.

Did not watch the game but let me guess. Poor adjustments at half but heat and coaching staff leads to a loss at home versus a lessor team? Poor coaching decisions on who to play? Or are we the lessor team. Spolestra still getting credit for last years 500 team? Headed that way again.

What I am good with is whatever the coaching staff sees fit as the right move in a particular situation. We didnt always have the best 5 options out there in the final minutes, but clearly good enough to make a final push. Cant make it about just one guy/thing because they lost.


I am certain you dont bring this up if the Heat win... or maybe you do..

I guess now the "trade hassan" SportsHoopla will start again because apparently he should be mad about not being on the court down the stretch.

To that end, his demeanor on the bench tonight down the stretch seemed to be better than in recent games under similar circumstances.

Thats whats important and what matters here -- that the players understand why certain decisions are made throughout the game -- even if people on the outside want to nitpick...

Anyhow, on to the next one -- gotta get that 10th seed

In Spolestra she trusts. The Heat with Wade a top 5 player at the time could not win a playoff series until the Big 3! Spolestra did finally win a playoff series with just Wade to the mighty Hornets and then gets coach of the year for Heat turnaround in 2nd half of last year. Like they forgot he was coach during first half of the year. When a coach and team consistently gets outscored in the 3rd quarter, it is telling and damning. Truth.

A move must be made. Paying Whiteside 98 mil to pay 25 MPG seems like a waste. I love Hassan but if you're playing your max guy 25 MPG then you probably should get rid of him before he walks for nothing which is what Hassan will do in the summer of 2019.

Also either TJ and/or JJ need to go.
