My birthday month. Hopefully the Heat treat us well this month.

Will post the schedule later or one of you can as we talk it up when the month arrives.

Shouldn't be a bad month as long as we stay healthy. Very short month in terms of games played due to the week long AS break.

Only 10 games (5 road and 5 home) in February. Give me 6-4 and I'm ok with that. Anything better than that should be considered a great month.

6-4 would leave us at 35-26 heading into the final full month of the regular season. I'm sure all of us would take that.

-10 after a near buzzer beater after a classic lazy/lackluster defensive effort by the beyond highly overrated James Johnson.

And Hassans greatest contributions so far are his 2 fouls - settled for a jumper in his only make so far.

Lets see what their effort level is in second half

JJ might petition to get his turnovers to count as assist when it leads to points for the opponent - wont rack up assist otherwise because he cant make a pass thats helpful this HIS team

Another useless shot from JJ... this one is about over at this point. The Heat have gotten into that mode where they cant make a shot and insist on shooting difficult/long distance shots blindly

There is only one obvious thing the Heat have been consistent of this season and that is they are unable to learn from their mistakes from one game to the next -- they talk about it way too much for the little they actually show it on the court.

The Heat are their own biggest opponent

Heat with another great set of adjustments at half leads to a -16 turd quarter. Starting February like we ended January. Interesting to see the second unit come back and fight but game lost in 3rd. This team continues to be offensively challenged and it seems like Spolestra may have lost Whiteside. His attitude and effort looked bad. Glad to see Paula gave up on his team in the 3rd. Typical.

Dont want to make it seem like I am late to the party because this has been an issue for the Heat all season and will continue to be for the entire season, but the Heat have taken a MAJOR step back on defense this season.

I know Rodney McGruder and Okaro White will return soon and they have become quality defenders in their young careers - but I just dont think either one will change our fortunes in this area enough compared to the standard the Heat have set for themselves on defense over the years in relation to the step back theyve taken this season -- yes, they are still elite in many ways, but the mental errors are just too much.

This was a bad matchup from the start. THe Heat continue what to me is a college basketball starting 5 1 - C , 1 PF and 3 guards even though to me Richardson is a guard even though the Heat insist on him playing SF.

This whole positionless approach is beyond old at this point and just a sorry excuse to make the necessary/obvious changes needed to the starting lineup.

Another tough matchup against a lesser team in the Magic awaits us tomorrow night. While the Heat lead the season series - the Magic have always found a way to expose the obvious disadvantages the Heat put themselves in with their starting 5.

Doubt any thing changes from one game to the next, but if tonight or tomorrow night dont show how much the Heat need to consider lineup changes, no other game will.

I guess its fitting the Heat deliver the final dagger on themselves in this game with a turnover even though this one was long over.
