Heat complete the comeback

Again, after losing how they did against ATL - the pull this one off like this...

this team is just a head case

Richardson got up in the face of Kyrie just enough and then backed off just in time not to commit one of his usual untimely fouls but still affect the shot.

Well, now Ira makes the opposite official - so much for that.

Heat leaving their fans in the dark once again. Most important stretch of the season and they continue to hold these guys out for minor injuries.

More on the injuries per Ira, Whiteside and Johnson to also miss tomorrow. JJ not expected back until Wednesday.

I dont see actual update on Winslow so not sure what to make of that

As a fan, I partially agree.

That said, the Heat have bigger problems than trying to satisfy their fans by making this or that move

Reducing the number of regular season games seems to be the "solution" that has more legs in the NBA -- BUt I think before that the league should look into addressing this issue with teams "resting" players.

Maybe require teams to submit more informed medical reports prior to a game to receive the "clear" as to whether or not a team can hold out a player due to injury.

Maybe an independent doctor for every team to make a final determination on the status of a player.

If a player has a true, debilitating injury, then he gets held out of a game - otherwise the player should play and its up to the team to manage the situation throughout the course of a game.

I dont know. Its not just with our team -- something has to be done.

These highly paid, often overpaid grown men who play a sport for a living -- need to just suck it up and not look for the league or their team to baby them because of what their name is. One of these days this sense of entitlement the NBA and other leagues have allowed their players to feel -- must end.

Ill ask, "how so?" before I give another incoherent answer and go on another rant?...

They made both (especially Winslow) injury seem fairly minor. His MRI came back clean and was questionable for the game on Saturday but somehow he is about to miss his 4th straight game.

On top of that, they even brought him on the 2 game roadtrip. You don't do that unless you expect a player to play in one of the games which is exactly why JJ & Hassan did not join the team on the roadtrip.

Frustations with injuries aside, do you think the Heat have enough to pull of any one of these two games tonight and tomorrow night?

Tonight would be their best option. Beating AD & Cousins with this roster is highly unlikely. If somehow Goran & Winslow are back then it improves.

Spo is so full of shit. You should know if Whiteside is days a week or a 1 week+ away. Stop with the lies.

Asked whether Whiteside’s return is days or weeks away, Spoelstra said it was unclear. Spoelstra also said it remains undetermined when Whiteside will be able to participate in a full practice.

A few things:

I know that blaming Spo for all bad things that happen to the Heat is still a thing.

And I know it will always seem to some like I defend him no matter what

Nor am I saying you are doing either

BUT, we cant forget that Spo is not a doctor/trainer -- I think what he is doing here and in similar situations, is simply informing the media of what he is informed of by the teams medical/training staff.

I think it is they who we should be upset with and who we should be having a hard time trusting.

Point is, I dont think these are "lies' but I think somewhat of a disconnect regarding injuries between players+trainers+coaches.

I still think some of these injury situations sound a little Big-3 era-esque in that guys are just being held out for precautionary reasons rather than actual injuries - and the team feels they can get away with it during the current stretch of the schedule.

Lets just hope the current injuries arent more severe than first thought - this is the most positive spin I can put on the situation. It would be a bigger problem if these injuries were more severe and long term

Kinda have to win tonight. Spo already said we likely have the same lineup tomorrow. Beating Pelicans would be difficult to say the least with this lineup.

Win tonight, lose tomorrow, then we get 2 days off before our next game.

Hopefully Winslow and Dragic are back. Possibly JJ also. They said it was 7-10 day injury. Tuesday will make it 9 days since he's been out.
