Great praise on the Heat 3 point defense from Luke Walton: "They took away our 3-point shot as well as anybody has all season."

The Heat did an incredible job of this. They did yield a few uncontested at the hoop, but if I'm an opposing coach, I'd much rather have this than let the Warriors get any sort of rhythm from outside.

I know people are saying the contest would be different with Whiteside, but imo, I think it would have played into the Warriors favor more if Whiteside played. The reason being is that when the Warriors went to their small lineup, the Heat small lineup had just as much flexibility in terms of defense and spacing. If Whiteside plays, Draymond guards him at one end and Whiteside would not be able to guard him at the other, when the Warriors went small.

Always thought on paper the Heat were most explosive and dynamic using Bosh at center and they did a phenomenal job. I think it was BKS who mentioned the Heat routinely use that as a crunch time lineup. Basically you had a crunch time lineup in there the entire game, which gave the Warriors fits at times.

Just my opinion.

I don't think Whiteside would have played a lot due to the Warriors playing small ball but it would have eliminated GSW putting Bogut/Speights on Winslow as they did last night. Also Whiteside being out screwed up our rotation at the start of the 2nd and start of the 4th

And perhaps the BCS computers were right...we were very healthy and had a heavy home schedule and were not able to get substanitally more above 500. Now, we are having some injuries and a heavy road load. Curious how this season will turn out. No Mario as the point gurard. We have Uldrich, Richardson and Tyler Johnson to mix and match there along with Wade....interesting indeed.
