Josh Rosen to get the start in tonights game. I hope he goes out there and proves himself. He has been coming along in camp/practice- for the last several weeks, and this is the pay-off. It is now time for Josh to take it a step further in the process.

Dolphins defense showing their schematic diversity so far in this first drive - however, its not resulting in positive production so far as TB is driving down the field fairly easy.

Pressure being brought by the Fins - Jerome Baker brings the pressure - Charles Harris finishes the job.
Still, an issue for the Fins on a couple of plays in this drive was tackling. Defenders had a chance for a tackle for loss but didn't finish the job.
On their first offensive drive, the Fins get a little too pass-happy and its a quick end to the drive. That being said, the objective of the night seems to be to feature Rosen and the OL - so, we may see a more pass-happy offense, at least early on in this game.
Have to clean up the penalties as that is what derailed this drive.

Great catch from Mark Walton from Da U -- thats why he should make the team -- he is a versatile RB - he can catch the ball out of the backfield and lineup in the slot

The excuse of "its just pre-season" will be used -- as the Dolphins go for it on 4th and just a couple of yards and fail to score.

Fins getting it done on defense - tackling needs work, though.
On a different note, the Fins need to stop exploring with Preston Williams at PR/KR -- there is no need to put him at risk at this point by exploring with him there.

6-3 at the half for the Fins.

The offense has been quite lackluster since Rosen was replaced. Ryan Fitzpatrick - himself has underwhelmed so far tonight.

Another problem from tonight -- thats been a problem for the Dolphins defense for too long -- defending the screen pass. The Dolphins have given up too many yards, especially on third down or second and long on those plays.

Bad decision by Ruddock. Telegraphed the pass - and he was locking in on the same WR for too long. Easy pick for the defense.

Fins lose the game on a late FG.
But this game featured a couple of more guys we need to keep an eye on - while also featuring some ongoing issues that must be fixed ASAP.

I'm interested in seeing what Rudock could do. Local kid and is young so I would not be all disappointed if they kept him on. Not sure if they will carry 3 QB's, but I really don't see much value in Fitz. He certainly is not a long term answer and Fins are not expected to challenge for any playoff spot, so why not keep him instead of Fitz if they only carry two?
