Peterson's day is done.
He leaves in the 5th with runners at the corners and no outs.
Someone named Jacob Barnes is coming in to pitch.

Yikes.

Edit:
And just like that his 1st pitch to Realmuto is sent over the RF wall.
Mets trail 7-1 now.

Wow...just wow.

I hope he has a nice flight down to Port St. Lucie.

But upon review..he's out of options.

This one was ugly from the get go.

Can't dwell...just gotta leave it in the rear view, head to Queens and focus on tomorrow's home opener against the Marlins.

Silver lining....I like what little I've seen today from Joey Luchessi out of the bullpen. ( 2 IP, 3 K, 1 H, 0 BB)

Also....Nimmo should be the regular leadoff hitter.

Okay that's it.....after they fell flat last season, and now 5 games into this one....I'm done with Luis Rojas.

HE NEEDS TO GO.

Steve Cohen and Sandy Alderson desperately need to find someone better to manage this team.

Rojas appears to be a nice guy and all from what I can tell...but as far as running a major league team, he just doesn't have what it takes.

NO MORE EXCUSES.

Up Next:

The teams conclude the series Sunday with a matinee rubber game.
New York will start RHP Marcus Stroman (1-0, 1.50), who looked sharp in his season debut against Philadelphia.
Miami was waiting to see how Saturday's game played out before determining a starter for Sunday
